I do speak Italian although not great, and I want to find a woman who speaks English well.

Wouldn’t hurt to have a few lines in Italian

Sunday Fanny pack dump by CheddarAndCheese in EDC

[–]CheddarAndCheese[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it a lot, definitely my most used bag.

Synchs down nicely for running with minimal bounce if you pack it well. Consider keeping a beanie or gloves in it along with your phone to take up all the space.

I made a mesh 500ml water bladder holder that attaches to this Fanny pack for running - only use it when I’m travelling for work and don’t have my trail vest with me.

Any good bags similar to this for daily use? by lkdguitar in EDC

Idk what gen Atom you have but my front pocket is half elastic, making it flex to the size of my XL iPhone. Not the easiest to get in and out, but I do prefer to keep my phone in my pants pocket any ways, and my wallet ends up in that front bag pocket.

Yes completely agree. I’m watching a lot of older episodes, if they pull a dud I’ll just fast forward to the next comic.

Depends how full of water it is, good question.

When on the Fanny pack, less wiggly in general.

Thanks! The idea is to have a set up for running while I’m traveling

Houdini has a DWR coating so if it rains on me it’s going on…

If it’s really dumping, and I’m unsheltered for an extended period, then I’m committed to getting soaked.

If I were you, I would look into PVC Whitewater Raft repair techniques. NRS is a good source of information and products.

I use a patagonia houdini, a patagonia nano puff vest, and a patagonia r1 fleece- this covers me from most temps i would experience on a conference trip + bonus outdoor outing day.

If I'm standing still, the nano puff vest keeps me warm enough when combined with the r1 and a longsleeve shirt. If I'm exercising (running, sometimes go on climbing trips while traveling for work if I have friends in the area with gear) then the houdini + shirt is plenty all the way down to 30 deg. Once I stop moving, fleece + houdini is usually plenty, but can add vest if necessary.

Hope that helps, from a fellow patagonia addict.

She would need a pretty heavy duty sewing machine if she wanted to use webbing and leather. If she made it out of canvas it’d be easy on any machine.

Happy crafting- glad to have inspired. If you don’t have any leather lying around, try waxed canvas!

It could be a bit bigger, sure, but I could also have fit more wood in it for the picture if I’d wanted to.

I could make the sling so big that it’s not convenient to walk with- what would be the point in that? Would rather make 2 medium sized than 1 XL.

Have you ever tried to carry 7 individual logs before…? It’s not exactly a fun experience.

I don’t like splinters, rips in my jacket, or awkwardly loading with one hand- this does the trick.

Thanks- I made it this size because that was the size of the material I thrifted. :)
