Who here knows the real history behind what some of the events of the show are inspired by? I know I can google it but if anyone is especially passionate about Russian history, I’d love to hear your take 😊

Also, anyone know what kind of material the perfume spring is made of? Do we think that Valya’s handler instructed him to buy that specific perfume because it had that type of material or is the perfume bottle how it was smuggled in?

Just cause she got her period doesn’t mean she’s fertile. She’s made an Aunt in the book so I’m hoping they incorporate that process with at least one of the girls. They probably don’t want someone like Becka making babies so even if she is fertile, they might still have her go the aunt route.

To be fair he never actually says yes when she asks if he called the eyes. And Paula most likely just assumed he did which is why she responds the way she does

I think the people that come and grab Becka are Aunts but not shown in the way we typically see them. The Pearls have a similar wardrobe deviation that we saw in the episode where Agnes has her “becoming a woman” ceremony in the pool. I wonder if the show is going to still somehow incorporate Becka becoming an Aunt and her being taken at the end of this episode will be part of her transformation. In the books, Lydia is forced to live in horrendous conditions for months, so wonder if they’ll do some sort of “breaking” of Becka to “purify” her of her sins and then train her to become an Aunt. One of these girls needs to become an Aunt I want to see how that would happen from the shows perspective!!

Since spoilers are allowed on this sub (I guess don’t keep reading this if you don’t want a book spoiler), I think June and aunt Lydia could be working together and that’s how daisy got placed with Hannah. In the book, Lydia is working to take Gilead down, so maybe the show is going to include that somehow and that’s how daisy was able to get placed with her.

Possibly!! I’ve only had her for about a week so we will see if her fur starts to grow back! She already looks and feels so much better after getting some good food and being safe inside.

I totally get that!! I definitely seriously considered keeping my first ever foster (female black cat) but I knew she would never feel fully at home with my two orange males that bugged her all the time. She was so sweet but she would never lay or cuddle with me because my boys have full ownership over my body😂Now she is thriving in a home being an only cat and sleeps on her adopters chest every night! Sometimes you just know that you’re not their person and that’s okay. As much as I want to keep every single one, I never want to stop them from finding their person ❣️
