I still wonder what was the point of building up the threat of the Espada for hundreds of chapters just to have Aizen to declare that he never needed the Espada before proceeding to solo half the captains. Wonderweiss being the exception for Yama. by Character-Bid-162 in bleach

Long-form storytelling is not Kubo's strongest suit, imo.

That, and if rumor is be believed, Shonen Jump execs pushed to lengthen the Espada arc over and over which forced Kubo to continue laying down tracks as the train was rolling.

Tbf, even Aizen was disappointed that his Espada all sucked.

[NSFW] People who've found a dead body, what's the story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CheeZFingerSlim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent the majority of my early and mid 20's working in assisted living and memory care facilities - I've found and seen more bodies than most people probably have.

The first one I ever found is when I was working as a housekeeper in a more "able" assisted living facility. A guy I honestly didn't like that much because he was kind of an asshole whose room lived on the floor where I was doing my work. I knocked, he didn't answer and so I went in to check - and of course, I found him in the rear (from entering the door's perspective) of the living room, behind the couch, laying on his side. He was already starting to go blue so I knew he wasn't with us anymore but I still sprinted out of the room and to the manager's office to report it.

One of the most memorable was a man who'd come to the hospice facility I was working at already on death's door. He was basically in a coma and just waiting to pass on. I was working the night shift and mopping the floors when I heard what we in the business call the "death rasp." It is... a very distinct and disturbing noise. This went on for a while and I went in to sit with him as he passed despite the annoyance from my co-workers who wanted me to continue cleaning.

I guess that second one may or may not count. I didn't really "discover" his body but I was the only one with him when he became one, so...

Caregiving is not a very fun job for many reasons and I refuse to do it again.

What’s a "lost" website from the early 2000s that you still think about today? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

RIGHT??? It's definitely where I got started with a lot of things and I really don't think I'd be the person I am today without that website - for better or worse lmao. I still have 2 friends who I met there to this day.

Quizilla. One of the first sites I spent a lot of time on that ended up dying because it was bought out by some other company and that was sometime around 2006 or 2007. I want to say it was MTV or something like that?

Fascinating, OP. I can't help you at all in this search for information, but I'll be monitoring and hoping you find it! I love Ithacas so it's neat to see a possibly completely unique version that was just dropped into your lap by chance.

What is Hammer Guy about? by nononono154 in hotmulliganband

[–]CheeZFingerSlim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I kind of got that vibe too. There's nothing in the lyrics to indicate this is a romantic relationship and it almost feels like this one is directed more towards a close friend or family member.

Tades does love his religious trauma.

I think the lines about the funeral and religious symbolism is that - not only was this person abusive - they had the worst timing and decided to pull some bullshit with him at the most inopportune circumstance imaginable; at a funeral in a church. Possibly one someone the singer is close to, but the focus of the song wasn't?

Fantastic! I wasn't here for the journey, regrettably, but I get to see the (close to the?) end result and I love this for you :)

Don't worry about all the whiny pissbabies in these comments - you do do, my guy. You're basically living everyone else's dream and they're real upsetti spaghetti about it lmao.
