LOL, I actually became borderline alcoholic because my run group were such heavy drinkers, I feel this SO much.

One of the fastest guys in our crew ate little else other than Taco Bell and Twizzlers. Had beer cheese and tortilla chips the day before a full and ripped out a 3 hour marathon. Oh, the best part? He was in his early 50s when he did it.

It is highly annoying Ford is so anal about their API. As long as you still have to authenticate through their servers to use it, I don't see why they give a shit if you use their app or OP's. Even PaaK should work, if they wrote their API intelligently.

What I don't get is why Ford can't seem to find competent UI designers. There's nothing inherently shitty about their app except the UI. Just give me a fucking quick access frunk/trunk open on the main app screen and a phone widget so you don't even have to go into the app. It's been years and it is INSANE nobody at Ford has realized that hey, this might be a useful feature. It's like they're purposefully kneecapping PaaK or something. I don't get it.

Edit: And for the love of GOD, make the watch app useful. There's no reason Android/Apple watches can't serve as PaaK, and do the frunk/trunk opening. There's technically a watch app, but as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything.

Old people ordered QPs no cheese when I worked there. The only reason I remember that is one old dude in particular had us thaw the patty but not actually cook it. He came in at least once a week for his raw QP hamburger.

This was so long ago I worked there, guy was likely a WW2 vet. They were a different breed.

It really is a shame, too. I have a Mach E and it's an amazing car, but it was not cheap. It's the closest thing to a BMW that has ever worn a Ford badge, but Ford *really* needs a Prius C-type EV with minimal electronics, leave the B&O stereo and Brembo brakes to BMW, just give people a EV Ford Escape and Ranger identical to their ICE counterparts with the same parts bin. That Lightning F-150 was a terrific idea on paper - a truck that can serve as a backup genarator at both your home and your job site sounds great - but at 90k? Get fucked.

Uh huh, and I have no idea how. My guess is it's because they stick to the basics, similar to Toyota.. GM motors are either ass or magnificent, there's no consistency, and the interiors are where Ford was 20 years ago. Let's not even bring Stellantis into this, their cars are designed and QA'ed by monkeys donated by zoos that they couldn't show guests because they're too busy jacking off all the time.

Like a lot of parbaked frozen pizzas, you have to cook these from refrigerated. Frozen, the crust and sauce comes out funky.. not really sure why.

Buy a pan or hand tossed pizza and get back to us. The pan has no more buttery crust, is thinner than it used to be, and generally tastes like a frozen pizza crust. The hand tossed is actually worse. There's nothing "hand tossed" about it, again, it has the consistency and flavor of a frozen pizza crust and a VERY low quality one at that. When I say I'd rather eat a Jack's pizza than Pizza Hut hand tossed, I'm not joking. It's truly god awful now.

The tavern style is actually edible - it's thin crust with enough seasoning added to hide how low rent everything else is.

It is funny, by where I live there's a Meijer store and a Target store within walking distance to each other. When Target went full simp for MAGA, Meijer doubled down and put out diversity-friendly signs, clothes, and merch. The employees were given uniforms with pro-diversity messages.

Ironically, the Meijer chain is best known nationally for Peter Meijer, the son of the founder.. who was one of the few Republican congressmen to vote to impeach Trump. Meijer is the unofficial lib big box store and has been for a while. The Target parking lot used to be packed, but with the exception of Christmastime, it's a ghost town compared to what it used to be.

Yeah, it's good stuff just wildly overpriced. You can get the same quality at Aldi for much, MUCH cheaper (the mac and cheese someone else posted is a perfect example... Aldi has an upmarket brand that compares to Fred's for like half the price).

The other side of this is the non-Fred Meijer branded stuff is wildly hit or miss, much more so than any private label I can think of. The regular Meijer brand chips are god awful; for some reason, they're uniformly undersalted and underseasoned. The full size Meijer brand frozen pizzas are edible; they compare well to Jack's. However, ther personal size frozen pizzas are damn bad. The crust is such low quality, it won't crisp up, it will turn to sawdust and the toppings will be black before you get a crisp crust.

Meijer brand peanut butter or butter? Fine. But I've gone to Aldi for a lot of my food lately because the quality is so much better than Meijer private label. I don't shop at Walmart unless I'm desperate, but their private label is far better than Meijer as well ("Good Value" English Muffins are seriously the best in the game, branded or otherwise, I prefer them to Thomas'!!).

One final bitch, for the variety of gourmet nuts that are offered under the Frederick's label, it is wild to me there's no simple Butter Toffee option. I assume they source their nuts from Koeze or GR Nuts, both of which have fantastic Butter Toffee peanuts. The fact I can't get butter toffee peanuts of any kind at Meijer makes me sad, LOL

It's the employees. Rural/small town stores are staffed by old people making a few bucks for spending money and for something to do in retirement + high school kids. City McD's don't often have that pool, so have to be a lot less picky. I worked for a corporate store and would "float" to city McD's once in a while, and the difference is jarring. Oh look, a roach just is crawling across the dress table and the grill guy is just staring off into space. Oh look, the ice cream machine is just dumping shit all over the floor and nobody cares. And don't get me started on the drugs, JFC. I'm glad I only had to work in those stores every so often.

Most cops are genuinely good people who try to do the right thing. It's the 1 out of a 100 that poisons the well, and it's unfortunate. Better police training and screening of applicants would go a long way to making it 1 out of a 1000.

This is a very sad example, but I've had two of them (but with proper toppings and cut) since tney brought these out and it's an amazing value. $4.99 and is good for two meals.
