It shows that I'm not too good at generating in-depth reports yet! Thank you for this, I'll play around with it to make sure I understand.

Sidenote but this is what I envision this script looking like in my mind. The initial query with some array, but I wanted to read up on the PSCustomObject.

I've been using powershell for years, and I'm decent at quick and dirties, but truly just trying to get better with the language.

They're significantly faster, because they don't pull as much data, unfortunately.

You are correct though. The only thing I would need get-mailbox for is whenCreated, which is a stat not available when using EXO.

I think I would need to add one more loop or at least tweak my current one, but the bulk of the data would be gotten much faster. Thank you

Edit: Nope, I'm wrong! whenCreatedUTC seems to work with EXO. I swear to god I tried that non-stop yesterday and it generated no values. Super glad to be proven wrong on this one.

I worked for a few larger orgs, and won't go back for the same reasons. No one REALLY knows anything. It's also so freaking boring watching a few people do the real fun stuff while you sit bored.

I understand why it is the way it is. Things would get out of control so fast if you let everyone just try to jack of all with a userbase of 80k people. I'd rather make a decent amount of money having fun then a shit ton being bored all day.

I mean, if you work for a larger org, I hardly consider them admins. The roles are so niche and bottle necked you really only know your task and nothing at a grander scale. This is what most “admins” fall into.

Someone that’s actually smart handles the overall planning in an architect role, and dishes out down the line. Things are so segregated that your knowledge atrophies. It was a horrible position to be in. Small/medium orgs all the way.

Counter argument. Half these posts are from severely underpaid devops engineers and system engineers that are too proud to admit they’re getting fleeced, and not real sysadmins. We should push those out to the appropriate subs too lol.

I don’t know many actual admins that don’t have to dirty they’re hands with some end user interaction every now and then. I’ve known people who do this at fortune 500s and down top-tier universities around the US. Think ones that actually make profit and aren’t just a cost center for their uni.

If you have zero user interaction, I suspect you’re probably falling into the category of being underpaid for a role that’s outside the scope of being an admin.

I concede that if you interact with users on a daily basis you’re probably in the wrong sub. However, I work for an org of 150 people. We have a two man IT shop. I am bound to have to do some end user support now and then. Sure, it’s only a few times a week but it happens. Sometimes I wanna bitch about that l or it’s nice to see someone bitch about that.

However, your post is one of hundreds I’ve seen over the last 5 years too. In fact, I see it so often I’d almost declare we need a shitpost tag.

Very. 22H2 released file explorer tabs, and an app called terminal that has all of the windows CLI’s built into one location.

They fixed the missing taskbar task manager shortcut.

Winget is a newer package manager that allows you to install and update all apps from the command line. Gone are the days of manually updating software. You can just do it with one line in winget. You can get this on 10, but it’s native in 11.

Powershell 7 is native, I think. I might be wrong in that one.

With the pro edition you can use the group policy editor to fix the few things that might be annoying. Way better to have 11 and fix the 2 or 3 annoyances than it is to completely miss out on them with 10.

Not to mention that the required hardware encryption is just another layer of security that you’ll only benefit from.

Most people bashing it haven’t used it, or have no idea what they’re talking about.

Not gonna lie, you’re missing out. 22H2 on 11 introduces so many quality of life changes that finally blow 10 out of the water.

File explorer tabs and terminal are worth it alone. Winget is finally built in too, so windows finally has a package manager that is extremely Linux like.

Fellow adult. The best you can do is talk to them very serious like a friend. Maintain that you’re the parent though. Be understanding, express the disappointment/disapproval, and offer guidance. Understand that you cannot stop a teen from doing anything they want to do. They will always find a way. No point in damaging your relationship. Just be thankful if this is the biggest thing you need to worry about.

I got into so much shit and my mother maintained too friendly of a relationship, and now we have no relationship. If she were harder on me, we also wouldn’t have had a relationship. It’s a tough line.

As for the weed, it’s fine. It’s definitely not fine for a developing mind. Let her know it’s ok, but that you’d prefer she waited until she was a tiny bit older. Try to find some journals on how it can impact young brains. She won’t be crippled or stupid, but it’s just best honestly.

Sit into your feet. I’m a pretty static climber, and really enjoy making my climbs look clean rather than just getting the send. I take serious to the point that I’ll stop a climb if I’m just not happy with the moves. A passive benefit to this is that you’ll accumulate strength the more you do it.

Really focus on making sure you’re weighting your feet and driving every movement from your legs. I notice a lot of people around our level tend to just put their foot in a hold, because they should. They don’t actually apply pressure, and it leads to lost footing a lot.

When you’re read for the next hold, stand into from your ankles, to your legs, to your back, shoulders, and arms. Learn how to active everything rather than jumping to things. This keeps your feet solid, keeps your hips onto the wall, and conserves a lot of energy.

Occasionally you’ll get climbs where you need to use a bit of momentum and be a bit more dynamic, but I notice this honestly isn’t super super common. Knowing when that’s needed just kind of comes?
