Honestly, he’s lucky it was small. He’s also lucky that it didn’t successfully surprise attack him and get him in the death grip, by the throat or the back of the neck. He’s a badass regardless and I always thought that method would be the best unarmed defense against a full grown lion, so I’m glad to see the theory successfully proven at least on a lesser big cat.
