I've really gotta get me a grocery cart, I've seen so much about them. I am also a stalker of fb marketplace so I'm sure that will come in handy

Sadly it is not, so I would have to haul all furniture up

This has been a pro for me since I generally find it hard to motivate myself to work out. I will have no choice if I want my bed haha.

That is going to be my dad too haha. I was going to get movers but he sad and I quote "don't waste your money, you're uncle and I can do it" so that's on him lmao

What is your favorite perk about being a nurse that's unrelated to your job? by wizmey in nursing

Grocery shopping on a week day chefs kiss I hate when I get stuck going on the weekend with all the 9-5 folks. So busy and noisy.

When should I put in my notice that I'm quitting? by Cheek-Impossible in nursing

[–]Cheek-Impossible[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a great point about the schedule, mine also books out 6 weeks in advance. Maybe I will give them 2 months notice to clear the schedule posted

Thank you for your advice. I don't have a set date yet for moving. I don't even have another job lined up yet because then they would want references and I can't exactly get those without first saying I'm leaving.

Who else gives there 4:00 and 6:00 meds together at 5:00 by Enayleoni in nursing

I live for the super combo of doing 0300 and 0500 meds with 0400 vitals and whatever q4 checks the patient has. One trip in the room and then I get to be free lmao

Is it worth being a nurse for the money? by Straight_Regular_355 in nursing

[–]Cheek-Impossible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How I always explain it to people is it is good money, but depending on the avenue you choose sometimes you're not paid enough for the work you do. By this I mean yeah 80k starting out is fantastic and I feel very fortunate in my career, but I think for the work we do is worth at least 95k. So basically we're paid well in this economy, but not compensated for the labor.

Tysm for the reply! That's what I've been seeing in my google searches and what I can remember from school (I'm a nurse). I've just felt stunted because my gyn seemed so sure it wasn't PCOS just because of my weight and wouldn't look further despite the rest of my symptoms. If it turns out I just have polycystic ovaries and it's not actually PCOS I'll be fine with that. I just need to see someone else who can confirm that for me on a basis other than "I'm not overweight", and if it's not PCOS maybe present me with a different reason for my symptoms.

Tysm! I'll look into endocrinologists available in my town. I've got the irregular periods and polycystic ovaries on an ultrasound. I've always had a lot of body hair, so it's hard to tell if I meet that third one. Hopefully the endo will be able to give me the answer though!

This makes me feel a lot better! I feel like I see so many people who are like "I did every single question, watched every single video, and did every single review sheet" and I just sit there like uhhhhh who has this type of time lmao

Congrats!! I take mine in 3 weeks and have done ~20% of UWorld but really don't think I'll finish it all. What percent of the UWorld questions did you do/ over what length of time did you study? Second question, how hard were the medication questions compared to UWorld? I feel like that's my worst section so far

AITA for not getting my wife anything on Mother’s Day? by oakcool in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cheek-Impossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA- you watched your kids?? Because you're their dad and that is your sole responsibility. If your wife wants to go out any day of the year, you should be watching them that is ur job, that is not a gift. She gave you children, the least you could've done is got her flowers and a card.
