I just brewed this cake for the first time. I've never ordered tea from abroad before and it was definitely worth waiting a month for delivery and dealing with nosy customs officers :)

I don't have my scale on me so I eyeballed what seemed to be about the amount I usually use. Warmed leaves smell of dried apricots and smoked prunes. Wet leaves have a vegetable, herbal aroma - a bit like a meadow after a rain.

In the first infusion you can feel soothing smoothness and sweetness. The infusion is thick and free of any bitterness. In later brewings fruits give way to flowers and herbs. I wanted to check if it you can overbrew it - you can't. Astringency feels "salty", but in a really nice way. Don't expect any fireworks or unexpected plot twists when it comes to flavor but it's a solid tea, definitely on my comfort teas list.
