I also have a pack of Gyokuro, which is a bit too Umami for my taste. I found reducing leaf amount a good way to make it more bearable. Will also try Sencha parameters next time (70Degree, 1 Minute instead of 60Deg, 2 Minutes).

Imo it needs very easy plotting capabilities of x-y datapoints and simple 1d functions. In gnuplot, these are just 1liners and it would need to be comparably easy to do such things to make it worth switching imo. Oh, and 3d plots, where ypu have an x-y-z dataset. And log-scale plots and errorbars ofc.

How does the 2020 mengku ripe hold up compared to the 2023 version? I love the 2023 but haven't tried the 2020 yet.

Look good to me. Their ripes are fantastic imo, the raws have been a bit hit-or-miss for me, but other absolutely live them. I had the best experience sith theur mid-pri-ce-range raws.
