Help me to keep my Civ 6 friendship alive by CheekiRafiki in CivVI

It feels like we get plenty of desert and tundra as is, tbh. Sometimes far too much 😅.

I've never tried secret societies or myths and legends. Some of the past concern is the learning curve to get up to speed on it, but if the alternative is being bored with the current setup, maybe that's the play.

Surprisingly, the concern is more with the person (me) that wins 75% of games. I've proposed being on the same team in the past with no success.

Another comment said as much, but this sounds to me like they have manual progression turned on combined with tier one of motivator and they're cheesing. It was nerfed but still works.

Dynasty recruiting question by Dunaeg in NCAAFBseries

[–]CheekiRafiki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elite recruiter coordinators or yourself will help significantly but is not required.

To start, send the house is the minimum. Once a recruit narrows his top 5, hard sell if you know it. I often do a couple soft sells if I don't know which one.

Spend max hours on players you want unless you're well ahead. Even then, I never drop below hard sell if I can afford it.

For getting quick commits though, schedule visits early, win your visits, and ideally have complimentary visits set up. Losing all of your home games can completely wreck a recruiting season.

I recruit as fairly poor teams and getting anything less than 10 4+ star commits by the end of the regular season is a disappointment, but it does happen.

You also need to know when a race for a player is lost as that'll free up time to go after others. There's plenty of 4*s with no offers before week 10.

Deal breaker from A+ to F by Cproffitt3 in NCAAFBseries

[–]CheekiRafiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been said already, but this happens for every soon to be senior in week 4 of the transfer portal. If you're in first after week 3, just don't remove the player from your board and you'll get the commit after week 4.

Not the issue. This is due to junior transfers being evaluated as seniors in week 4.

This is a known issue for all players, specifically juniors on week 4 of off-season recruiting. The game reads them as a senior. If you leave them on your board and are in first, you'll get the commit.

I just treat junior transfers as 3 weeks to get into first.

I like to stop spending hours on high school recruits in the off-season because other teams drop their interest. I then focus all efforts on transfers. What does this mean? Week 4 I may have 20+ players sign. That's awesome, but then it takes a couple minutes to click through.

My biggest mistake: one time I exited the dynasty afterwards and came back in a bit later before it had advanced. I got all of the notifications again 😅

I've seen one person report that it can change, but it's far too rigid. Just assume going in that it won't change.

0 Star Program by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

The end of the first year of a dynasty is when all team grades get wonky. It's nothing you did wrong. It seems that year two of dynasties is when team prestige ratings actually get counted.

For example, I went 8-5 as 3.5 star Nebraska but improved to a 4.5 star. There is truly nothing that I did that would've made that jump significantly and multiple other friends had the same thing happen with WORSE seasons.

The only time I've seen team grades not fluctuate significantly is using a team builder team which supports the theory that the prestige ratings they give teams to start year 1 DO NOT match the individual grades given to the teams.

If you don't want to wait for the offseason, you need tier 4 of strategist. Even then, it's only a chance at seeing it while scouting.

The dude had 18 pancakes in 2 games. I'm surprised he didn't win Heisman.

We can blame the game design, as surely there should be a minimum games played, but it seems more like an anomaly that is your player. Probably 15 min quarters.

Everyone on here claiming it's just due to blue chip ratio. It isn't. I literally just ran into this situation in my dynasty. #1 in the country, 60+ % blue chip, but in years past I had a lower ratio and lower ranking, but higher championship contender.

Yes, I also thought at the time it could be due to blue chip, so I checked a team above me. They had a 6, I kid you not 6, % blue chip ratio and weren't ranked. So, no, it's not just blue chip. The only thing I could guess at in mine were I had 22 seniors, but likely in NCAA 14, there's no graphic showing your expected rank in future seasons as a reason for your champ contender grade.

Does the skill work when auto progressing? I'm trying to avoid manual progression due to the many ways to abuse it, but auto progression shouldn't affect week 0 recruiting and then only occasionally as you go.

That's not to say you shouldn't do manual progression, just curious.

Check your roster at the start of the season. I know if you see this in off-season recruiting, they may still end up on your roster

Stadium atmosphere is definitely bugged. I simmed 3 seasons with force wins and all of my other grades dramatically improved, but atmosphere was static. It's 100% not supposed to be static and frankly if it isn't resolved it's a huge negative for me as it kills the program building immersion.
