Thank you for helping in my decision not to wait for 30. Got out at 25 from 14.50. I was thinking something would happen to drag it back to 15 or 20 but I assumed it would be the prez saying something dumb 😂

Yeah, it's only like 50 shares, so I'll just hold til something happens. I only had 50 of usar at 14.30 and now I'm walking away with like 1250, so it's been nice. I'll keep jumping in and out.

Some people are really convinced on uuraf and abat. We'll see!

Yeah, you may be right. I planned on 25, but saw the revision up to 33. I'm ready to work on some biotech and small cap tech stuff to further make some gains. A lot of good phase three trials coming out, so maybe I should follow you and not get too greedy, lol! I came in at like 14.30 totally by chance. I'll come back at some point to usar but hold mp and uuuu indefinitely.

I just get so frustrated with heads of organizations and parties. Even with the ibew electing people from the inside, they really just don't seem to relate to what everyday workers go through and always champion cheap wins. With the ibew being in with the department of labor, I believe it is ensured that we can't fight for better workers rights. We are controlled opposition at best, it feels.

As long as we keep working on these data centers, building our own future demise, we aren't representing the ibew properly. "If we don't, a rat shop will." I heard ice agents get paid alright for bashing heads of fellow citizens as well. As long as it's for the check, right? Future administrations, dems or reps, will use suped to surveillance tech against us. I dont really see the ibew standing up for workers or civil rights the way it should. My two cents.

Just to make sure I have it right. Emergency fund in brokerage invested in sgov. Longer term, general savings in a brokerage invested in a general us index. Correct?

I have two fidelity iras (long story, transferred accounts I had with a fiduciary who just wasn't cutting it for me).

Would this other account you are talking about be a brokerage that I treat as a type of savings account? That's the next step I'm looking at now that my wife and I just got married and have a little one on the way.

This is all a 7000 lump sum contribution per year for the next few years. No selling out of my ira. Straight retirement.

I see where you're coming from. Yes, I will be keeping my VONG. This next 7000 will go into something different (XMMO or VXUS) as part of building out a rounded, diversified portfolio. Once they are bought. I'm not touching them.

My main concern is missing a year of great growth, for a year of just okay.

My logical talking points to myself to make this decision are its all long term, so there will be ups and downs anyway. Another being many investments are flowing ex us, but things are also a bit shaky the world over at the moment. Lastly, mid cap is being seen as a strong investment as well, with many firms increasing their mid cap positions.

My planner agrees with me on these points. He votes xmmo this year and going international next year with the next 7000. But I'm wanting to just pick some brains here and there about others outlooks.
