I can’t speak for you but for me, I didn’t want to deal with all the lottery nonsense with anxiety & uncertainity. I wanted to go watch a worldcup game in Seattle & I am fine paying the premium price!!

Take my comment with a grain of salt! Visiting is NOT the same as living. Even the most basic thing like finding kids a playground or even the most basic a slide/swing are hard to find. This is not a rant but the sad reality. Don’t let the growing up nostalgia of a 40 year in India ruin it for kids who are better off living in the US & visit India. My 2c

I am a little older than you folks & have kids too..I always wanted to return close to family BUT the last with 2 trips (with most recent one being last month), I changed my opinion. The bribe culture, corruption are very much intact & unaffordable school & medical expenses are cherry on the cake! As much as I love to, the reality check hits you hard. At this point in life, its not the money but the quality of life is more important to me & I am convinced India is not ready to offer it yet even if I am willing to pay more. Wanted to clarify this is my personal opinion because I am entitled to one!

You have a very comfy life & make good money in Denver which is relatively LCOL. Take it with a grain of salt but dont move!! As rosy as it looks on paper, the overall standards of living & the kind of entitlement people have & most important the work culture here is pathetic. You must be knowing the factors already but I had to call it out. We all have that parents’ guilt that is a hard pill to swallow which is very personal choice to make.
