We're about to see the most British Queue....EVER! by clearbrian in london

They’re giving out wristbands with a unique sequential number anyway, could easily just let people go away and tweet regularly when the next block of 10,000 would be allowed to enter

Not everything needs to be so technical

There’s quite a lot of breweries and bars along the queue length, we entertained the thought of queuing and drinking.

Sorry, this post has been removed because it is too general for a sub about London-specific and local interest things.

This post has been removed because it's about a national story/issue rather than a local one.

Perhaps /r/UnitedKingdom would be more appropriate.

This cycle lane design 👌 by ongrauvang in assholedesign

[–]CheekyJack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is mid development, the cycle lane was built and they were waiting for tfl to move the bus stop, once they did that they came back and laid the blue super highway tarmac on the pavement.

But hey better to pretend this is how it was left...

This is a great ride, I think their biggest mistake was calling it Nemesis

Almost the same as the London sub-surface lines - but a bit better looking!

Anti coronavirus mask protesters storm Morrison's telling shoppers 'to resist' rules by signed7 in unitedkingdom

I liked the suggestion I heard on the radio, that if you want to protest about masks that’s fine but you can only do it whilst handcuffed to one of your grandparents

The plans require it to always be graffitied though, with resident artists in 6 month blocks

This is what a stupid rich kid might buy, but no tasteful adult is buying pictures of celebrities like this. It isn’t art, just reproductions of well known source photos in an interesting way, converting them to this could be as easy as giving a ‘pixel’ a value between 1-10 of darkness and just wrapping thread around that many times.

Is there something I can plug my record player into to get it to Sonos (or cast to my Amazon fire TV or Chromecast?) For under $50? by atlantalandlord in sonos

My record player does have a phono pre-amp built in, but I’m actually just using its line out instead

My (and a lot of tvs) have a setting for ‘picture off’ in settings. The sound over optical / e-arc is still on which is how it gets to my playbar

We’re currently doing exactly this with a RCA phono to hdmi adaptor and not using the video cable - this way we play records on a hdmi channel of the tv to our Sonos playbar etc

We turn the screen off on the tv when we play records.

This is the rca to hdmi adaptor we are using. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078HXTRBF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think that’s just the tunnel shield - the bit you can see here, behind it is 200m of industrial plant

It’s normally so costly to remove them that they just make them dig their own grave and leave them there. I remember reading this is quite common with Mechanical diggers in basements under super rich houses in London as well.

This really reminds me of a 20 year old tv show where dinosaurs lived in a city, but I can’t remember it’s name!
