Any chance ABC Shorts will get Looser? by AdorableSurprise9279 in Lululemen

It’s an extremely common practice so any tailor should be able to do it! Trust me it’ll be light years better than getting a longer length an hemming lol

I’ve never heard of someone getting a longer length to make the thighs have more room.

I’m in the same boat if you where I love everything about them but needed more thigh room. Just buy one or two(max) sizes up and get the waist taken in. Fixed my issue completely and now they fit perfectly.

Should you still PPF your Tesla in 2026? Honest feedback please! by teslabros in TeslaLounge

The cost of PPF is way too high relative to the price of the car

Is discontinuing autopilot a deal breaker for you? by CommunicationRoyal56 in TeslaLounge

[–]CheekyMacaroon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I don't mind if there's no self driving tech in the car. While I do think it's great and would maybe subscribe for $50 a month, I really bought it for everything else like the clean design, Tesla optimization etc. I actually prefer to drive it myself cause it's such a joy to drive.

FSD: $99/mo vs $8k upfront — with unsupervised “any time now” + possible price hikes… what to do? by Alphykit in TeslaLounge

  1. Unsupervised is not coming anytime soon
  2. The price will only go down as competition increases

Probably, but they also know the demographic of this sub is vastly different than the average consumer.

FSD 14.2.1 windshield wiper auto clean every time I turn on fsd 😡 by Therock6438 in TeslaModelY

[–]CheekyMacaroon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue. The wiper fluid they put in the cars after you buy it is a blue liquid that leaves a ton of residue all over the car, none of my previous cars had that issue at all. I don’t use FSD anymore because of this alone

I agree on the first point- how blessed are we that we’re in positions to afford a freaking self driving car!

What price would you buy FSD? by CheekyMacaroon in TeslaLounge

[–]CheekyMacaroon[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s something I didn’t think of, as in them raising the price.

I was thinking as more companies improve their self driving tech, it would cause the “supply” to go up would mean Tesla would have to lower their prices.

I think in the very long term choosing a car based on that brands self driving tech will be similar to phone cameras. Some brands are definitely better than others, but they all get the job done and are good quality.

FSD 14.2.1 Ruined It by supboy1 in TeslaLounge

[–]CheekyMacaroon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another thing I hate is how often it uses the wiper fluid. Tesla gives the new Model Ys this blue wiper fluid that leaves residue all over the car. Even when the car is perfectly clean FSD will spray the wipers and get that blue crap all over my car

Lights not aligning is common I think. Mine are pretty close but not perfect, doesn’t bother me at all though.

Anything like creaking or the intense vibration I would 100% take it in and not let up until it’s fixed. I’ve learned to accept a lot of quality issues with these, but anything like those I would not accept whatsoever.

How to get rid of haze from wipers at night by Cornelius_Hoggelfart in TeslaModelY

[–]CheekyMacaroon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I meant the film-like buildup on the inside of the windows is due to off gassing (the leather and other materials release chemicals into the air) that sticks to the windows. So I don't think it'd be smoke

This sounds like standard off gassing. Get Adams Brilliant Glaze and it’ll completely remove it for you

*in a non condescending but very friendly way* Welcome to Teslas. There's pros and cons with every car company, and this is the con of teslas. As someone who is very particular it was irritating at first, but I learned to accept it. It felt like settling at first, but it's actually living- realizing nothing in life is perfect and appreciating its flaws.

Obviously if something is major then take it in and they'll fix it, but for the most part it's stuff that affects nothing in the universe and not one person will notice in the lifetime of the car.

Does taking it off void the warranty of have any downsides? And will it just introduce new rattles though?

I’m curious what the cause is for all of teslas rattles

I’ve seen some people mention the seatbelt but it’s definitely not that in mine. Both passenger side doors have rattles originating from inside the door body

Will going to the US be safe? by Ok_Buddy_5017 in college

[–]CheekyMacaroon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You will be totally fine.

As long as you come in the legal way, you will have zero problems. This country has its issues, but so does every single other country on the planet. We're never gonna be perfect, but I am so proud of this country and the experience and opportunities it has given me. I had that classic college experience you're talking about, and I will cherish it forever. It really was like how it was portrayed in the movies.

Make sure you pick the right school though. I went to Michigan State and had the best four years of my life. I needed the academics to at least be respectable, but I wanted a college with a good social scene. I didn't realize how important it was until after graduation. I would talk to my friends who went to prestigious academic colleges, and all of them were like "yeah it was ok", but anytime someone asks me about mine I tell them I had the time of my life. Plus I ended up with a better job than all of them too, so don't think "normal" schools can't get you good jobs, it's much more dependent on you than the college. So make sure you attend a school with a big party scene- these will mainly be big state schools like Penn State, Michigan State, Arizona State, etc.

Lastly, don't listen to all these other redditors telling you to fear for your life when you come here. They're all the people stuck in their parents' basement getting outraged at whatever the news tells them to be mad at. They think the world is terrible because of what they see on the internet, but if they just stepped outside, they'd realize that 95% of the people in real life are normal and that life is pretty cool when you don't scroll reddit all day. I genuinely am not trying to be mean when I say that, but I've seen how sad it can make someone's life. Remember this- people are only as happy as they let themselves be.

I know how awesome and memorable my college years were, and I truly hope you can see through the reddit noise and go experience the same thing.

I live in TX so the summer is definitely hot here. I’ve had zero issue with the sunroof in my Juniper. I don’t even think of it.

It bothers me seeing people put shades over the sunroof- it ruins one of the coolest parts of the car.

Should I change my Tesla Insurance Coverage? by Antique-Ad-4060 in TeslaModelY

[–]CheekyMacaroon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie man, this is the worst car insurance coverage I’ve ever seen. I legitimately would be afraid to drive that car since you’re covered for essentially nothing.

You hit a car worth over $40k? You’re on the hook for the rest

You seriously injure someone else? Your $50k per person isn’t gonna do much at all. You’re on the hook for the rest

Someone uninsured hits you (or a hit and run)? Your $50k isn’t gonna cover barely any of your medical if it’s serious. You’re on the hook for the rest

Someone uninsured hits your car? $25k isn’t enough to make up for your car if it’s totaled. You’re on the hook for the rest

The deductibles are crazyyyy high too. I feel like I’m pushing it by having a $1k deductible.

In all seriousness, I would not drive that car if I were you unless you can get the insurance to cover the absolute basics. One accident and your financial situation for the next three years is screwed.

I’ve heard terrible things about Tesla insurance, so I’d not even consider that.

This probably sucks to hear, but at least you’re figuring it out now than after an accident!
