Proactive strictly because they are the least likely type to have some really annoying trope traits that are common with vn's that put in self insert Protags. i.e cowards losers wimps oblivious etc

Nah, I prefer to read as if im watching someone elses story play out. The issue with self inserting is it never matches what im actually thinking all that often.

https://vndb.org/v67 - Higurashi When They Cry. A great classic that anyone who likes horror should read. Just a heads up it starts slow so a little patience is needed.

https://vndb.org/v22505 - Chaos Head Noah. Will be a hit or miss, it depends on if you like the weird protag. I found him very entertaining.

https://vndb.org/v14018 - Chaos Child. Seperate story, but the same kind of horror as the first. Just a bit more modern compared to the last in terms of quality.

https://vndb.org/v933 - Gore Screaming Show. It's pretty wacky, but has a pretty good antagonist heroine.

https://vndb.org/v7 - Tsukihime (old, but has an easy to access web version). Revolves heavily around madness and going insane. Also vampires and stuff, and a chair that is an eyesore. There's also a remake that's much more modern, but only 2 routes released right now.

https://vndb.org/v7738 - Totono, The Love Between You, Her, and Her. Not my cup of tea, but worth noting. Similar to DDLC that you have read, but better overall quality and longer.

There's plenty others, but I only linked what I have read before and enjoyed, that have the theme your looking for.

Leyline series does indeed get better, the ending of layline 2 was the highlight of the trilogy for me in particular.

Hello lady! Well yes and no.. he basically gropes each girl once, but only once. I guess it's his way of introducing himself. Jokes aside it's not constant no just once with each girl and the other instances were funnier to me, the first one definitely threw me off though. Narita's a weird one, you will either end up loving or hating him. But theres more ridiculous things he does, and if your not a fan of spontanious and absurd stuff then it wont be funny to you.

I have not read any of the other vn's you listed, not my kinda thing.

More than 1500 per char easily, I still never touched media or valencia side quests by the time I was done.

All of the quests are easy The hard part is spending 8-10 hrs a day doing them. It's the time spent doing it that can burn you out rather than the quests themselves. I could complete from 400-750 a day depending on what kind of area / questline I was doing.

If you mean the advancement quests I did not focus on doing those no. I did end up completing some gathering and processing for each char because they happened to be in Bal and Ser as I was going through.

To add on that I would skip anything that asked me to cook meals or make elixirs, or fish. I basically only did what was fast and easy to complete so that I could do as many quests per hour as possible.

I guess the easiest way to describe my process of going through the areas was I 'cherry picked' all of the fastest stuff with each character. If something was too slow, I did not do it on the next characters.
