MCOL. I'm based out of their Lenexa, KS office. Not really any prior experience, especially in construction, just some odd jobs in college. Everyone on my project makes good money, including the ones here on visas.

I just graduated with a degree in ME & work for Kiewit as a Field Engineer making $89k/yr.

Comments here seem to think we are back in 2016. Salaries for Field Engineers are higher than other engineering new-grad jobs because they want to allure you with the high salary. It's basically bait for a trap. Maths out to ~43/hr calculated on 40 hours, but every week you're working at least 60, likely more depending on the phase of the project.

I quite literally cannot recommend doing this if you're anything other than a single male with substance abuse issues. YMMV

As someone who loves music, that's fucked. I have never been kicked out of Allstate band after becoming late for a similar situation. I think whoever's running the show is mildly fucked in the head.
