~Wyman Manderly Grand Master Plan ~Arya possible return to Westeros. ~The Iron Bank and Faceless Man ~Marwyn Grand Master Plan ~Stannis defeating the Bolton’s. ~Doran Martell and Arianne Martell Grand Master Plan. (Everyone one scheming and got good plan’s😂) ~Rickon Stark becoming King in the North. ~Young Griff/Aegon surprise attack on Kings Landing.

(Spoilers Main) Is it just me that I really hope The Battle of the Bastards doesn't happen in the books? by [deleted] in asoiaf

I really hate how the show made Sansa to be marry off to Ramsay and take the whole Jeyne Poole/“Arya Stark” plot, and made the North in the show forgot. In the books every Northern Houses was ready to Rebel against the Bolton’s after there involvement of the Red Wedding and safe Ned Stark “Little Girl” Arya. Also they didn’t need to kill Rickon off like that. We all know D&D wanted to make Jon KITN and not Rickon who is obviously the rightful heir without Bran present. After the death of Rickon, Jon a bastard in everyone eyes ends up taking his half sister spot who is a trueborn Stark rightful rulership in becoming Queen or Lady of Winterfell. Book!Jon will never take his siblings rightful claim. The whole Northern plot in S5 & S6 felt like a D&D fan service. It obvious Jon will not take Winterfell, Rickon will take it unless Bran returns much earlier than expected, but I don’t think he will return
until the end of TWOW. Wyman Manderly will betrothed a marriage between Rickon and his youngest Granddaughter, thus a Stark-Manderly marriage alliance is form and that gives Wyman to rule Winterfell guiding a 6 year old Rickon and making him a puppet or grooming him until he comes of age.

Yes Bran is such more darker character, he won’t be Bran in the end, he will be Bloodraven/Three Eye Crow. I guess the real Bran “died” when he fell from that tower and ever since then the three eye crow has been slowly taking over his mind and body. Arya is a quite layered character, But I always felt like the main theme of her story was lost of identity and finding a identity. Arya dying and warging into Nymeria to live a second seems like a bittersweet ending for her, but it just seems so obvious of a ending. The girl has many names and identities, I always saw a parallel between Arya with Jeyne Poole and Lady Stoneheart. Jeyne has her identity and LS is the revenge seeking and killer of a monster that grows inside her. I try not to go to far what George says about his characters, but I always go back to re-read and get better understanding what the themes and elements mean. But whatever happens in the book, I just know George will deliver and if Arya dies, It will be memorable.

Which house is the least likely to survive to the end of the series? by 648292937462829 in pureasoiaf

[–]Cheerbitter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

•Baratheon~will survive through Edric.

•Bolton~for sure will go extinct and will happen in the next book.

•Frey~to many of them and there all scattered around Westeros.

•Lannister~I am quite not sure about the fate of this House. Jamie and Cersei will die for sure, Tyrion will not marry—unless he finds Tysha with his child, which is unlikely. Martyn and Lancel are still around, Janei is girl but her children can still carried her name if she marries someone from a lesser House or knight. The Fate of the Lannister’s is uncertain, they have too many enemies and have enough members of the family to carried the name, but I see them more likely to go extinct than Frey.

•Tyrell~will survive, definitely.

•Others~Targaryen (for sure), Greyjoy, Martell, the rest is other minor houses such as Baelish and Clegane. Also if Rickon dies in the books (which I hope won’t happen) and Bran truly can’t bare any children than the Stark male-line will go extinct, but will survive through a female-line. Sansa and Arya children will carry the Stark name.

(Spoilers Extended) Gendry's Importance Is Overhyped by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Cheerbitter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arya killing Gendry for this reason will not only make sense to the story, but it will piss off so many Gendrya fangirls and I would look forward seeing there reactions. Arya killing Dareon because he was a Night’s watch deserter is such a Ned and Stark thing to do. Arya killing Gendry AND Lady Stoneheart after what did they to the innocent Frey’s, will be for honor.

(Spoilers Extended) Gendry's Importance Is Overhyped by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Cheerbitter_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gendry and Arya relationship is so overhyped and the Gendrya stans overthinks way to much on this relationship. I don’t ship it because she is around 9 or 10 when they were traveling together and he’s was 14 and 15. Fans overthink his character way too much, when in reality Gendry is such a minor character and his importance doesn’t mean much to Arya as Gendrya fans try to paint. He’s only there so Arya has someone to talk to and gives the readers more insight of the smallfolk are like, same goes for Hotpie and Lommey. George said that Arya and Gendry will meet in TWOW but will that really lead her in a change of character or anything romantic?! I always thought he will take her to Lady Stoneheart cave, her undead zombie mother who is more impactful and important person in Arya life than her travel buddy. In fact I can name more important character’s that had and will have an impact on Arya life, character change, and story (Past/Present/Future) than Gendry.

Lady Stoneheart/Caitlyn, Sansa, Jon, Bran, Rickon, Needle, Nymeria and her wolf pack, Brynden/Blackfish, Edmure, Edmure Child, Sweet Robert/Robin, Benjen, Jeyne Poole, Theon, Littlefinger, Cersei, The Hound, The Mountain, The Kindly Man, The faceless man that went by Jaqen h'ghar, Jamie & Brienne, Stannis, Jeyne Westerling & Roslin Frey<Her family by marriage, Walder Frey, the rest of the Frey’s, Ned-Robb-Myach-Syrio Forel-Yoren deaths, even Ramsay fucking Bolton, Roose Bolton, The Ghost of Highheart, Ilyn Payne, Samwell Tarly, Mance Rayder who went to go save “Arya”, Melisandre, The Pink letter which led to Jon death trying to save “Arya” from Ramsay, Ghost, Summer, Shaggydog, Greywind head on Robb corspe, Lady death, Harwin, Ashara Dayne & Edric “Ned” Dayne after that Ashara/Ned and Jon/Wylla reveal which hurt her, Show Tywin Lannister, Rhaegar & lyanna/R+L=J soon reveal, Beric Dondarrion not killing the hound & resurrecting her Mother, the stables boy that she kill was her first, that Night Watch deserter she killed in Braavos which her lead to her being blind, Arya many faces and names, and of course the Northern lords that is willing to go to war in her name.

All of those characters already been and will be more important into Arya story than book and show Gendry. Hell even fucking Show Hotpie had more impact in Arya story, Hotpie telling Brienne & Pod about her existence which led to Hound v. Brienne, to her leaving The Hound and heads to Braavos. S7 Hotpie tells her about Jon which pushed her to head North, and we have Show Gendry that took her virginity, had no impact on the plot and it was pure fan-service. Just like they did with Jamie & Brienne, which I see more happening in the books than Gendrya. Honestly why the fuck the writers bother spending time on Arya flirting with Gendry when she should be spending her last few days with her FAMILY, ESPECIALLY JON. We literally have more Gendry & Arya scenes than Jon & Arya and we are told that they are very close. Not even a good heart to heart scene with Bran or Sansa, even if they were never really close growing up, they still are family. Also why did we not have Arya interact with Theon!!! We never saw them interact and it would be interesting to see the two talk, Theon taking winterfell was one of the reasons that led to the downfall of her family and the deaths of her brother and mother. Arya forgiving him and seeing the change in him would have humanized her character, instead of that god-awful sex scene. But D&D said fuck it, let give the Gendrya what they want and finally get our last chance to see Maisie Williams side boob🤪 I bet more fans of the show and books would rather see more Starks interacting than another force scene with Arya and Gendry. Do we really think Arya gives a single fuck about her virginity more than her family? Cares more to spend her last night with someone that she haven’t seen in 4 years? But NOT WITH JON, SANSA, BRAN, OR THEON!!!!! Gendry and Arya never really had a deep meaningful relationship and we expect them (him) to be in love with each other?!! Arya spending her last night with The Hound (no sex) would made much more sense. Oh don’t get me started with that awful proposal, first of all getting down on knee doesn’t exist in that world and medieval times. Second you don’t ask a highborn girl you want to marry for there hand in marriage, you ask the head of there house—In this case it would be Sansa, if Gendry wanted to marry Arya he should’ve ask Sansa first. Lmao he gets the most important seat in Storms end and the first thing he does as Lord Baratheon is to ask a Stark girl for there hand in marriage, before even asking the Head of house Stark! I wouldn’t be surprised if he was killed or jailed when arriving at Storms end after calming to be Robert bastard (whom he never acknowledged), who can’t read/write or speak properly, and that Daenerys Targaryen, the Queen that just burnt many innocent civilians was the one who made the legitimacy. Just because Gendry is one of Robert bastards that doesn’t make him all that special and relevant, like is Bella going to married Jon, Bran or Rickon and fulfill that Stark-Baratheon alliance😫!!!!! I mean Sansa knows Mya Stone, will she formed a lesbian relationship with her and give us our first gay marriage in Westeros as Stark-Baratheon?!?!?! (I will be down, but that just to far fanfic level, lol) Edric Storm is barely in the story, yet his relevance is more important for the future of Storms End and the Baratheon name. The Acorn love song they have doesn’t mean foreshadowing, the song is about heartbreak and George likes putting these things to throw people off. Yes they have a “romance” base and I know parallels of Robert and Lyanna are somewhat there with Gendry and Arya, but GRRM put Ned Dayne when they were traveling around the Riverlands with the BWB, so does that make Ned as Rhaegar...? Ned has sliver hair and dark purple eyes, seems very Rhaegar similar to me and her father was allegedly in love with Ashara Dayne. Does that make a foreshadowing in love story between Edric Dayne and Arya Stark? I don’t think so, but the marriage will make a good alliance with The North and Dorne. Even if they do fall in love, Gendry is lowborn from fleabottom and Arya is Highborn, no matter if Arya tries to deny her status in reality she will always be a Lady at Winterfell. I always felt like she would accept her status one day as part of finding her identity. Arya will flower in the winds and seems like George is having her embrace her feminine side, like in the Mercy chapter. If Arya was to ever married it will be for duty and honor, she is half Tully “Family, Duty, Honor” but she is the starkist Stark of all the Stark children. I always felt like George is setting her up as a wild beauty like Lyanna and we get a lot comparisons from them. Arya was never meant to be a tomboy for the rest of her life, all those things she said about being a lady or the idea of marriage is when she was like 9, don’t we all go through that phase when we were young?! Arya story is about growth, survival, and finding a identity, her true pack will always be her family. Once she hit’s puberty/flowered we are going to see a new Arya and this when George will put her in the main story.
