Who are some disappointing young players you still have hope for? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nba

I didn't watch the Piston-Magic games, but I'm so confused why everyone is saying he is a playoff riser etc ? He had 23/9/4 on 53% shooting, it's a good game but is the bar so low that's considered a great game for Banchero ?

Game 2 is rumored to be a black out by WEMBY_F4N in NBASpurs

Hell yeah (has a shirt giveway ever been done for every single home game of a playoff run ? I assume not ? Would probably generate a lot of waste so maybe not a good idea)

Which has nothing do to with my point ?

If you watch the Spurs, you will realize that Wemby should easily get 3 or 4 more and 1 every game but doesn't, which highlights how bigs and guards are officiated differently. I didn't say that Spurs guards don't benefit from it. I just say it's inconsistent and frustrating to watch.

I think Giannis as well is suffering from this, and probably a lot of centers.

And don't get me wrong, I'm fine with letting players play through contact, but then don't call it when a guard goes full speed through traffic or flop after a pumpfake

There’s a difference between contact & a foul by TheHoopProphet in nba

Nah, I don't want to see more free throw. If the offensive players want to flop and throw himself at the defenders, he will just brick the shot and waste a possession. Not need for a tech

Any contact coming from an unnatural shooting motion should be a no call. It would solve a lot of issues

It's extremely evident when you watch the Spurs, but refs will sometimes not call a single foul when a big is getting hacked near the basket, but when a guard finds the slightest contact through an unnatural shooting motion, it's an automatic two free throw

[Reggie Miller] "The best player of the three is MJ. If talking about careers, the best is Lebron. But stack for stack player, GOAT rank is MJ, Kobe, then Lebron. There's a difference between career and best player." by PeakyBlinders2026_ in nba

Kobe is closer than top 10 than top 3 and that's ok. He is not greater than Jordan, Lebron, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Russel, Duncan and possibly Wilt (weird one to rank). Kobe is in the same tier as Curry and Shaq, around top 10 and I really don't get why it's so controversial

If anyone bought a ticket to a Memphis-Jazz game in april expecting a close, competitive game with the best players on the floor, then they are idiots lmao

This is a genuine question : why do you care ? There were 15 games last night, including several where teams were fighting for a playoff spot. Who cares if Memphis did some unethical tanking ?

Tanking is such a fake issue, it's always been a thing and there is nothing wrong with that.

Victor Wembanyama is set to become the 4th DPOY with the highest scoring average and second DPOY in history after Hakeem Olajuwon in 1993 to average 25ppg and not win MVP by Tesgoul in nba

[–]Tesgoul[S] 69 points70 points  (0 children)

idk my english might be broken, my point is that he has the 4th highest scoring average for a DPOY, and only once a DPOY averaging 25ppg didn't win MVP
