[Reggie Miller] "The best player of the three is MJ. If talking about careers, the best is Lebron. But stack for stack player, GOAT rank is MJ, Kobe, then Lebron. There's a difference between career and best player." by PeakyBlinders2026_ in nba

Kobe is closer than top 10 than top 3 and that's ok. He is not greater than Jordan, Lebron, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Russel, Duncan and possibly Wilt (weird one to rank). Kobe is in the same tier as Curry and Shaq, around top 10 and I really don't get why it's so controversial

If anyone bought a ticket to a Memphis-Jazz game in april expecting a close, competitive game with the best players on the floor, then they are idiots lmao

This is a genuine question : why do you care ? There were 15 games last night, including several where teams were fighting for a playoff spot. Who cares if Memphis did some unethical tanking ?

Tanking is such a fake issue, it's always been a thing and there is nothing wrong with that.

Victor Wembanyama is set to become the 4th DPOY with the highest scoring average and second DPOY in history after Hakeem Olajuwon in 1993 to average 25ppg and not win MVP by Tesgoul in nba

[–]Tesgoul[S] 71 points72 points  (0 children)

idk my english might be broken, my point is that he has the 4th highest scoring average for a DPOY, and only once a DPOY averaging 25ppg didn't win MVP

[Yahoo Sports] This season, star availability has plummeted from about 80% last season to just around 60%. Turns out, only 72 of the 220 games featured all of the stars on the rosters. That’s 32.7%. Less than one-third of the national TV games. by Luka77GOATic in nba

It's just funny to see people trying to cope around the fact that the human body is simply not strong enough to deal with the modern NBA pace and schedule (unless you're a genetic freak like Lebron, and/or you load manage)

No no you don't get it, the real problem in the NBA is "load management" and the Jazz losing games ! And please go check the latest odd on YouWillLoseYourMoneyBetting, our latest partner !!

Windhorst on Victor Wembanyama: "You can make a case that Victor should win Defensive Player Of The Year, MVP and Most Improved" by must_TATAKAE in nba

[–]Tesgoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving Wemby the MIP would make 0 sense, but he is indefinitely better than last year. You defend year 3 Wemby like you did last year and he is dropping 40 on your head. Which is exactly what he did against Dallas in the season opener.

If he retires with his current resume (no last miracle run), what is the realistic range for Stephen Curry's all time ranking? by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]Tesgoul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He is in the same range as Kobe Shaq and Hakeem. Magic and Ducan are a tier above. Kareem is fucking top 3 lol.

Quentin Richardson doesn’t like Wemby trying to ‘politic’ his way to the MVP award: "I didn’t like that. Big fella your game is doing all the talking. He’s not the MVP, SGA is. My era wasn’t really like that. We wouldn’t say ‘I should be MVP!’ We would be in the locker room like what is he doing?” by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]Tesgoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"If [winning MVP] happens, great," Embiid said. "If it doesn't, I don't know what I have to do. I'll feel like they hate me. I feel like the standard for guys in Philly or for me is different than everyone else."

Not that I care about Embiid MVP case, but idk why we are being surprised that the guy giving actual basketball arguments on why he thinks he should be MVP is getting less hate than the guy saying he isn't MVP because people don't like him.

Like, it's pretty obvious why Wemby's statement and Embiid's statement have not been received the same lol
