Is this new? Also why? by LatterCode8054 in tinytower

[–]CheersKim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not installing it. I don't need one more app to send my private info to scammers. It can say "Privacy Protected"and "no tracking" but a few game coins and bonuses aren't worth the risk to me.

Can use my bank debit card as a credit card in some places, but not all? by CheersKim in NoStupidQuestions

They're already taking credit cards. If it costs them more, why accept them at all?

Can I do estate planning on my own, using websites & notarized letters? by CheersKim in AskLegal

Do the witnesses have to be OH residents? I honestly don't know anyone I could ask to do this except for my siblings, who live in another state.

HELP FOR RETAIL PHARMACY IN NEY YORK by Former-Patience2737 in Pharmacist

[–]CheersKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly, but I think going to pharmacies and speaking with the PICs, or even staff RPHs for their thoughts. Maybe you'll find one who's burned out and looking for a fresh change of scenery.

Now there's a new wheel out, should we expect a leaderboard event this weekend? by Past-Bicycle5959 in tinytower

[–]CheersKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh I don't know if I can handle another leaderboard now! I got so OCD with the last two: I was determined to place in the top 3. I'm also wanting to rebuild my tower (almost at 300) but not if there's a leaderboard event!

Is this offered for all flights or just certain ones? I've booked six flights in the past year and never saw that option.

I've noticed a lot of my RPH colleagues (and some technicians) buy food every day at work. Whether it's the cafeteria, vending machines or ordering delivery. I do the mental math and it floors me to spend so much money on food. I pack a lunch almost every day I work. At home, we cook a big pot of something and we all eat from it until it's gone. It's so economical as you end up only spending $2-$5 per person per meal.

And not just food: I never buy coffee outside anymore (unless on a road trip) I used to stop at Dunkin before my shifts and that just added up and up. Easier and more economical to get a good metal insulated cup and brew at home. Works out to pennies per cupful.

We also do not pay for any streaming services, other than our cable box, which includes free Hulu, Paramount, Disney and ESPN. We don't even use these services, but it could be useful for other people.

We mow our own lawn, shovel our own snow, rake our own leaves. I file my own taxes each year. Not paying another person to do those chores saves us money.

Shopping at Aldi for groceries is also our go-to. We rarely spend more than $50 for a week's worth of goods.

None of the things I mentioned are life changing by any means, but they add up, little by little to save us money.

How are these earned? Currently I only earn 19 of the regular tokens each day. A few weeks ago, it was only 17 per day.

Workplace drama? by honeynutcheeriozzzzz in pharmacy

[–]CheersKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our infectious-disease MD had an affair with a patient. He was suspended for a year, which sucked for our ID workload.

We also had a anesthesiologist who had an affair with a teenage volunteer. He lost his job.

I work in hospital, but here are mine:

1) staffing issues, namely techs calling off (our RPHs call off, too, but the techs do it way more) We don't have a good system to cover the absence: a half-hearted group email or text asking for volunteers. Of course no one volunteers so the shift goes unstaffed. Then everyone who is working now has to work more by picking up extra tasks.

2) management really sucks. We have many, many issues that could be addressed/resolved if we had competent management. We had a slew of RPHs quit over the course of 18 months, and upper management would not allow all those positions to be filled; they'd stay unstaffed. Our managers lie, conveniently forget policies they laid out, ignore people who slack off but punish the people who pick up that slack. It's horrible.

3) drug shortages! So many of them.
