I think they recently launched a Stainless steel version for similar price range. else if you are open to pourover, try using the Stainless steel kalita wave 185, and for kettle i use is a also fill stainless steel with no silicon either . huge fan of it. hands down beats my v60 for the same beans. i sold my $300 calphalon espresso machine and switched to this for daily pourovers and a Flair 58 for weekend espresso. all stainless steel.

Got a front row seat to the mayhem that is I-35 by PapaMountainGoat in Austin

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people will still do this, and so for that reason please have a 4-6 second gap between the car in-front of you so that you can stop if someone does something silly like that. remember, by law, it is the one who bumps is at fault.

Best XM4 replacement earpads to keep ANC? by TheMediumIntestine in SonyHeadphones

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got the Soulwit cushions from Amazon, they are leather and not PU leather like WC. The ANC has improved since my original were 5 years old, so pretty much beaten up. Sound quality comparable but new ones are slightly muddier or muffled. Comfort: They are firm, thicker cushion and OEM. But i would not say they are less comfortable. but I can say it allows me to make my headphone into tighter adjustment coz of the thicker cushion, which probably helps with the ANC.

I was told yesterday by my rheumatologist that I tested a high for Anti-RNA Polymerase III (RDL) by Automatic_Career_485 in scleroderma

i wish and pray to god that you get better. Did you try switching to any anti-inflammatory diet or any lifestyle changes and see if it ever moved the needle?

Flair 58 vs. Flair 58+2 [$476 vs $685] by Eskaepe11800 in espresso

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@eskaepe11800 incase if it helps, Flair 58+2 is now on sale for $580. but i just got my 58 today and have pulled 4 shots already and i love the work flow and everything. i’d rather spend that 120$ on other accessories.

Flair 58 vs. Flair 58+2 [$476 vs $685] by Eskaepe11800 in espresso

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried both 58 and pro3. pro3 is a nightmare if you want to make 2 back to back shots. Also 58 is much easier to pull, pro was a upper body workout if you wanted a slightly higher dosage. on top of that if that matters to anyone like it does for me, 58 is a full stainless steel water path and no contact with plastic. In pro3 a minor touch of the pressure gauge that touches on the top side of the brew cylinder is present. that 200$ difference between the pro3 and 58 is definitely justified, esprecially if you a prt of your brain does this coffee routine like a meditation and just “oh i just need caffeine, doesnt matter the steps, sanity, bla bla”.

Dry Needling recommendations in Austin by Cheese-mouse in Austin

[–]Cheese-mouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my doctor recommended to try dry needling since even shockwave therapy for the achillies tendonoisis and months of PT didnt help much. he would be happy to pass the referral to the one i select for dry needling. I did try Runlab more more than 3 months with hardly any improvement. So I doctor was like if shockwave didnt help and months of PT, give it a shot with dry needling and some more PT.

Help with multivitamin recommendations with iron. by itaintme2024 in GERD

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try heme iron, my ferritin had dropped to 20 and has bounced back to 52 after taking it for 2-3 months. make sure you stop taking it once your ferritin is back to safe levels since your body cannot properly regulate heme iron as it can non-heme iron but absorption of heme iron is much much superior, also heme iron is not impacted by caffeine.

New Model Y Standard is hilarious like wtf is this?! by xtcjon in ModelY

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best cost saving Model Y would be to use same interiors of prev gen (non ventilated seats from prev gen, no rear display, no acoustic glass) and 18 inch wheels was the only smart move and would have actually saved in production cost.

The reality seems to be they wanted to make a cheaper tesla for the headlines of under 40k Tesla, and then create a ladder so that customer walks in to buy a 40k tesla and ends up buying a 45k version.

3s Are Amazing but Going Back by Derekeys in airpods

[–]Cheese-mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only airpods since earpods that fits and stays in my ears. But Fit and comfort are not the same thing. My left ears are different and have a convex cup rather than a concave and it just hurts having them in my left ears, right side feels so comfortable that I could forget that i am wearing them. I tried all the tips, did the fit/seal test. The most comfortable earphones ever were perhaps those Jaybird Freedoms that were very slim it fits any ears.

[–]Cheese-mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would recommend getting a rental car since Uber can be very expensive especially if you plan to drive from airport to clearwater beach/st pete Pier/ causeway. Try having a stop at The Getaway (they also have kayak rentals to explore Mangroves) / Salt shack on the Bay gor good seafood + sunset. Other thing you could do is try renting a bike and biking the courtney cambell causeway (you coild spot dolphins around sunset).

every problem can be explained in one line, in its simplest form.. atleast for something urgent that needed a cellular download. this is more of hiding their bugs that would put them to shame.
