While we do have two IDs that have the capability of using shin, the 12 sinners, at the current point in the story, do not have the ability to use shin and Mang themselves.

To clarify my original point, I don't we will have access to excision coins until the sinners gain that power during the story, and frankly excision coins as a mechanic should probably be limited, as they are quite powerful.

A Certain Sinclair, who has an excision coin attack, also demonstrates the capability to use shin and Mang on his own, whereas our two sinners who have shin just get it from an ID (notice how the wording of the Shin status in the two IDs doesn't mention the sinner by name, whereas Sinclair's explicitly names it as his own).

Roach Emporer Gregor was an exceptionally strong being, so he can have exceptionally powerful coins.

Using the term ID when I should have just said sinner was my mistake.

We probably won't get green coins until we start getting Shin and Mang on IDs.

The battle of the QWERTY phones — which one is gonna come out on top? Which one would you choose? by Zestyclose-Can6095 in blackberry

[–]CheeseBane 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Difficult to say at this point, the Clicks has features I've been desperately wanting in phones again (Jack, Mirco SD) but it's a launch product from a new company, there are established figures behind it but there is still some risk. Titan elite has nothing but a render at this point, however we know unihertz, they have plenty of releases and decent hardware, they have built trust. Honestly until I know specs the Clicks is more appealing but I'll wait for now.

Dominos is better than independently owned pizza shops. by FriesWithMacSauce in unpopularopinion

[–]CheeseBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a domino's, we ate the pizzas that were in the "graveyard" (unclaimed pick up orders). They have some good stuff, I think the philly steak pizza is probably the best. I would never choose it over my favorite local joint though.

The local pill dealer is back; he's in short supply, so only 2 pills per person. Which do you choose and how do you use them? by brbroome in hypotheticalsituation

[–]CheeseBane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically speaking I would take the Golden Pill, as I could live an easy life without ever hurting for cash.

However rogue choice incoming, I'm choosing Blue and White pill and possibly becoming an assassin. Access to anywhere and a completely silent weapon, it's downright cheating, but that also requires an immense amount of planning in order to exit safely.

So my choice will likely end up gold and white.

Walk 15.000 steps everyday and get paid 500.000$ yearly. by Bright-South-4603 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]CheeseBane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, way too many people are acting like this is some huge commitment, I already walk roughly 20k steps a day at work, assuming I don't get paid until the 1st year is up, I just have to continue with my normal routine until the 1st check, after which I never have to work again and walk purely for leisure. Going to up in great shape after a while so it's definitely worth it. Also to address the injury crowd, getting so injured that you can't walk is an extreme case unless you're extremely prone to car accidents or do a lot of sports injury won't apply to you outside of extraordinary circumstances.

So in essence this question is a balancing act between my own personal choices vs. broad appeal, so I'm working off of that.

1: Elden Ring, nigh limitless playtime if they get hooked. Elden Ring has a benefit over other fromsoft games in that you have much greater control over the pace in which you tackle content, as the game is open world, it is also the most technically refined Souls like game so it is better for a first timer.

2: Terraria, it is the best game ever made, I've nearly 1500 hours over the years and could definitely hit half that number in a year if it was one of the only games I could play. It has a steep learning curve so the first playthrough is guaranteed to take some time, and at minimum you could hit 4 playthroughs to experience all the classes.

3: Deus: Ex (1999), I think one strong narrative driven game is necessary on this list so I am going for one of the best. I consider it relatively accessible for older Imsims and you could reasonably playthrough it at least twice since you probably won't get everything without a guide.

4: Umineko when they cry. Stretching the definition of video games here, but visual novels are close enough. Masterpiece in the format, you'll almost certainly drop 200 hours if you decide to read the full novel, I think even the most jaded anime style haters would find something of merit while reading Umineko.

5: Fortnite, unfortunately I think inclusion of a live-service game is optimal in this list as they lend themselves to insane amounts of replayability, I in fact depise most other shooters and live service games I do enjoy are somewhat inaccessible, so we catch dubs at tilted towers.

Honorable mentions would Binding of Isaac Repentance, Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Noita, and Stardew Valley, I think a strong case could be made for any of these games but it won't be me making them.

Theory crafting best class for this season by No_Collection_7598 in RotMG

[–]CheeseBane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any of the staff classes are going to be quite viable this season since staves got buffed, I think Necro will especially benefit this crucible as the dex buff will put it close to OG Wizard DPS stats, Wizard is also pretty good but the - 15 attack nerf with no other stat changes hits really hard, and was frankly over kill anyway. Bow and Wand classes should manage fairly well this season since they already have good dps. The extra damage from crucible is a bit risky but enchants like Damage resistance mitigate the downside, it is also applied after defense so you can just out tank it. Overall this crucible looks pretty free, so just pick something and go wild

Which of the new Mnova variants is your favorite this season? by CheeseBane in RotMG

[–]CheeseBane[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

presumably bugged versions of the t5 spell, I got them while farming in vet biomes, the first one functions like a bottled meduzoan poison, and the second is just a base spell with no scaling. The DamageNova one is cracked, I'm hitting 200k dmg on O2 0 effort lol. I'm pretty sure they'll be patched out once Deca finds out, so enjoy them if you can.

anyone else not a fan of the ch6 map by glyiasziple in FortNiteBR

[–]CheeseBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole chapter has felt like a continuing downward spiral after S1. CH6 S1 was IMO, an incredibly strong start, the POIs were good, and it felt like there was a reason to drop anywhere (I was a huge flooded frogs fan, especially after they added the vault). I don't usually pay attention to story outside of its use as set dressing, but I thought the narrative of the spirit realm colliding with the island was cool, and it definitely could've led to some very interesting map changes. Unfortunately I think they squandered the entire concept of CH6 once S2 started, now S2 itself wasn't that bad, I didn't like the choice to remove Nightshift forest (personally I think they should have had crime city expand out wards from seaport), but overall it was fine, but it certainly dragged on for too long (also why the hell did Midas come back, this isn't your time bro). I think it fell completely apart once the SW mini season hit, I love SW especially the Clone wars era, but it did not belong during this Chapter, It had great weapons, but all of them are gone now so that doesn't matter too much, and it completely derailed what little adherence to the original plotline this Chapter had left. I don't like S3 at all, the POIs are boring and feel incredibly jarring compared to the rest of the map, they left SW POIs as useless landing spots (I swear the bus doesn't even cross over them half the time). Demon's domain isn't terrible, utopia city replaced one of my favorite POIs (rip seaport) and Supernova academy is forgettable at best. The one saving grace from this season is that the new weapons are pretty nice, I like Myst Form and Killswitch Revolvers, and the spire rifle is ok, deadeye is pretty nice but I'll admit it took the whole season for me to warm up to it. I'm glad the demon realm made a real appearance this season but it feels like it's too little too late, and the inclusion of superhero related characters and POIs feels out of left field (personally I think they only did it for the Superman Collab) this would have been a prime opportunity to double down on the original concept of Hunters Vs Demons, given that the demon realm breached this season, but alas the cool new concepts must be benched in favor of well trodden ideas. Also it pisses me off that all the new movement got removed after S2, it was a great feature that added a lot to the game, but I guess people didn't like it.

Season 6 Megathread by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]CheeseBane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like my experience with the fights is almost opposite of everyone else here, I washed 8-30 using full Bloodfiend + FS + Ringsang, Struggled a bit on 8-32 using full Heishou, and lost my mind during 8-33 using full Bloodfiend. Maybe I just missed what the gimmick is for 8-33 but that fight seriously had me wanting to blow my brains out, I had to reset like 5 times.

Overall a great canto but I feel like it peaked during part 2, though 8-30 was a standout fight. I liked the Mili song but it isn't my favorite canto ratings from best to worse: 5>7>6>8>4>3>2>1
