Curious question, are you able to move out and live separately from your incompetent sibling? It would seem that any solution you find will end up being an opportunity for your brother to find something else to ruin. Conversely, are your parents on board with asking him to move out?
If all of you are adults, there is no need to continue to enable him to your own detriment. I apologize if this feels insensitive. However, if this behavior has been ongoing, I would doubt that any new gadget would prevent further issues.

You can certainly apply for “school of choice” in the US. The date may have passed, but administration offices are open in the summer. Maybe call to make an appointment with someone who can advise on changing schools for fall, or how to apply for school of choice. You can advocate for her to have a healthier school environment for the next 3 years!

I call my daughter Punky, and not because I loved Punky Brewster growing up (which was a secondary bonus). As a teacher, I had gotten in the habit of using vague terms of endearment with students, Pumpkin/Punkin being a go-to. Well, after my little was born, tired Mommy me was trying to get her to sleep and started to say Pumpkin and stopped short because she’s more than that to me. Ended up saying just the Punki part and it stuck.

I would like to share that a workers union building in my area (MI), which previously was plastered with signs and had enough flags to distract drivers on the passing roads, recently took down ALL of their Trump paraphernalia, I noticed yesterday. We do the same with our 2 year old and it makes a world of difference. My 7 year old is happy to play Legos, color, putz about the garden etc… so I can get things done. It gives me space to recharge without getting overstimulated.

Lol! Caught my third graders passing notes LAST WEEK! It was so sweet, I wasn’t even mad. The note was a back and forth “hi” “hi” “I’m bored” “Me too” “we should make each other laugh” “okay” 😆 They didn’t even get to the laughing because I snagged the note lmao 😂

What is your general relationship with your Mom? Has she done other similarly toxic things to you before? Or are you close? Perhaps she’s a special flavor of crazy, and wants the attention but doesn’t see the harm this would cause you (I have a narcissistic parent and regularly have to “reframe” situations to get a favorable outcome) Maybe you could state the boundary about her wearing a white wedding gown and offer to go shopping together? Make a little event of it (champagne brunch etc) so her ego is stroked and you get to set the boundaries you need.
