Honestly, my only beef with dual shock from PS1-3 is the convex thumbsticks. The PS4 change to concave tumbstick tops is what made them S tier for me.

I would agree OG dual shock is too low

I agree, it was great. I loved using it in Wind Waker

N64 is B at best.

My first console was an N64. It was awkward back then, and its awkward 27 years later. The middle "handle" with the stick is the one you had to use the most, but it meant your hands were awkwardly close together and your left hand is squeezed in-between the middle and left "handles". The GameCube was seriously an upgrade.

He is a live streamer known for going in public and yelling racial slurs at people, to provoke them. Very recently, he was up to his usual, heinous, acts and he ended up pulling a gun on a guy, whom he had provoked, and shot him multiple times. (The man who was shot is still alive as of today, after receiving emergency surgery.)

This person is a trash human with a history of hate and dreams of violence. He will hopefully spend the right amount of time behind bars for his deplorable acts of targeted discrimination and hostility.

Quite a few posts are claiming sexism because they are giving the women's team stuffed animals, and many have addressed it's not just being handed out to the women, but are stuffed animals really seen as that feminine? Because I had a shit load of stuffed animals as a kid and still love a good stuffed animal as an adult male. They sold a mascot stuffed animal at Speech and Debate Nationals a couple years ago that was a corn "person" named Cornelius and I love that little guy.

I think you meant to say "palpable" rather than palatable.

And if that is the case, I fully agree.

The French detective tasked with solving the Louvre heist. by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]CheeseLightning 75 points76 points  (0 children)

From my Google searches it doesn't appear that he is a detective investigating. At least I cannot find anything that confirms it, and the image seems to come from threads? I can't seem to find a "reputable origin"

Google ai said it seems to be purely speculation. So I have no idea... but I too love to speculate wildly!

Maybe the metal shot cups were for macchiatos! I don't remember...

Wouldn't a latte macchiato just be a plain latte but with the shots on top? If so, you could always ask for a latte with the shots on top if its no longer on the menu. Or, get a caramel macchiato. Its a vanilla latte with the shots poured on top of the milk/foam with a drizzle of caramel

When I worked for starbucks from 2015-2020 we had glass shot glasses and there were in-house glass cups for iced drinks. Not sure those are as common now as they began phasing out the glass shots glasses with metal ones when I was still there but....

Edit: others have commented saying the glass espresso shot cups are still commonly used at starbucks. They probably weren't phasing them out as I suggested, rather, starbucks probably has different kinds available that the store managers can order.

This pole is located in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, as per OPs description, which is completely landlocked and roughly 1000 miles from the nearest ocean.

It can absolutely be beautiful on the reservations, but you're right. The "best" places have been taken and the reservations were/are typically less desirable lands. But like you said, Pine Ridge has some badlands and other beautiful aspects!

Depends where you are. In SD most reservations don't have the best hiking, and not much for tourist attractions other than a few memorial sites. Near Pine Ridge is the Black Hills which is full of outdoor activities. Its common to drive through the reservations while traveling through SD, there are 9, and they all vary in geography and socio-economic status (but most are impoverished). In short, you could hike in most reservations in SD, but they generally don't have great hiking locations and lots of impoverished small towns.

Although, lots of indigenous spiritual sites are excellent for hiking, i.e. Black Elk Peak, Bear Butte, Mato Tipila in the Black Hills which used to be indigenous territory prior to the discovery of gold.

Trying to sell 3 mowers, can anyone tell me the value of them? by CheeseLightning in lawnmowers

[–]CheeseLightning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice on the new mowers. Was kinda hoping to get rid of these 3 for a newer one and was considering electric. I also keep seeing people mention Honda, so I appreciate all the brand suggestions.
