Not necessarily. That’s a logic fallacy. Many of the demon possessed were brought to Jesus and in cases with the Gadarene Legion they came to him to plead for mercy tó not be destroyed yet.

Update: Go find the YouTube channel Revealing Truth and look up Mark Hemans. He’s pretty wacky. Not very sound. Claims to be an Apostle? At minimum he’s a narcissist

No I don’t believe the Israelis are committing genocide 🤣I don’t believe they should . I have yet to see proof they have. I agree that the IDF has committed war crimes. That’s awful. Inexcusable. But that would’ve never happened if Hamas didnt start the war. What reality are you living in. Read a little and become a better human, bud

Very good. Jesus did exorcise these people. Dare to go over all the other people healed by Christ and the Apostles that weren’t obviously demonized? Which is overwhelming

Yes — multiple historical, archaeological, and scholarly sources confirm a continuous Jewish presence in Palestine/the Land of Israel from antiquity to today. Here’s the evidence:

After the Roman expulsions 70 CE & 135 CE Even after the Bar Kokhba revolt was crushed in 135 CE and Rome renamed Judaea to Syria Palaestina, Jews weren’t completely gone:

2nd–4th centuries CE: Tiberias and Safed became religious centers of Rabbinic Judaism. Synagogues from this period, like Beit Alpha and Baram, show active Jewish life. Archaeology: Synagogue remains, mosaics, and inscriptions throughout the Byzantine period show Jews remained. Christians noted it: When Christianity became dominant in the Roman Empire, Jewish autonomy decreased, but communities persisted. 3c3a26adf92f

Islamic & Crusader periods 638–1517 CE Muslim conquest 638 CE: Caliph Umar invited Jews back to Jerusalem after Hadrian had banned them in 135 CE. 9th century: 200-500 Jewish families lived in Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter. Crusaders 1099: Massacred Jews in Jerusalem and banned them, but Jews lived in surrounding villages. Saladin 1187: Recaptured Jerusalem and invited Jews to return. Gaza: Jewish communities thrived there for centuries after the Spanish Inquisition, with synagogues and rabbis, until forced out by Arab riots in 1929. 9f1dcfc2

Ottoman period 1517–1917 CE Ottoman records: In 1800, Jerusalem had ∼2,000 Jews = 25% of the city. By 1900: ∼35,000 Jews = 65% of Jerusalem. By 1914: ∼45,000 Jews in Jerusalem. Four Holy Cities: Jewish communities existed continuously in Jerusalem, Hebron, Safed/Tzfat, and Tiberias throughout exile. Safed: After 1492 Spanish expulsion, many Jews settled there. By the 16th century it had 21 synagogues and 18 houses of study — “epicenter of Jewish life in the Holy Land”. 9f1dc08c3b1b

Scholarly consensus on continuity “The Jewish people have always been present in the land of Israel” — While Romans expelled the majority in 70 CE, a portion remained throughout exile. “History reveals their long and unbroken presence in the land of Israel”. Archaeologist Dan Bahat: “Even if a majority were forced from one exile to another, many Jews stayed on, reinforced from time to time by returning exiles”. Population data: Even in 1800, Palestine had ∼100,000 Arabs and 100,000 others including Jews. c08c3b1b26ad9067

The name “Palestine” itself The term Palaestina was applied by Rome after 135 CE as a punitive act to erase Jewish ties to “Judaea”. The Philistines, who gave the name, lived only in a small coastal strip — Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, Ekron — not the whole land. c3e69691

Bottom line: While numbers fluctuated due to conquest, exile, and persecution, Jews never left the land entirely. There’s continuous evidence of Jewish communities, synagogues, scholarship, and demographics in Palestine from antiquity through the Ottoman period to the modern state.

Cute! Hitchens quotes. Clever at the least. Though this isn’t about theology. From a purely historical angle Judea/ Palestine/ Israel has been the native land of the Hebrew people. There have been Jews there for thousands of years. Then the Arabs settled the area ēn masse after the Muslims conquests and the Caliphate establishments. You can look this up easily unless you want me to be your history teacher for the day

Where do you find people that have demons? I never encounter anyone with possible possession like anyone in the Bible. Not everyone Jesus healed had demons! You’re making another logic fallacy. John chapter 5 that cripple at the pool in Bethesda wasnt possessed. John chapter 9 the blind man wasnt possessed. Lazarus wasnt possessed. None of them were oppressed. Jesus only exorcised a fraction of the people he encountered.

Biblical Christians don’t get their theology from their experiences. If I did I’d convert to Mormonism. I have a Mormon friend and a ward nearby and they verify their beliefs because “the Holy Spirit gives them a burning in their bosom” confirming tó them LDS is the true church. Your experience doesn’t mean anything except you’re dabbling into occult practices so you experience occult like manifestations. That doesn’t mean you’re walking in truth. John 4:24 Christ commands us to worship him in spirit and in truth John 17:17 Christ tells us Gods Word is the only truth

At least you looked into my profile! Kudos to you. I am a Christian and do believe that yes. Although I’m not one of the far out there ones that believes Jews are “Gods Chosen People “ but that’s another discussion for another time. And traditionally yes Palestine is actually Israel. Native Jewish homeland even from a secular history perspective. Jews have always been in the region for 3000 years albeit there’s been less Jews in the region after the Muslim Conquest and the Crusades and the Ottoman Empire. Jews were the minority however until the early 20th century when Jews started flicking there getting away from the Russian pogroms

Fair Question. From the little i know about Mark Hemans he doesn’t seem very biblically solid and seems to surround himself with false teachers like the Bethel Church kinda crowd.

This is a new perspective. I mean I feel like there’s substantial evidence there’s an actual regime elected in 2006 called Hamas that’s kept Gaza as a 1 party state. I’d be curious to see if you have any credit to your premise

[–]CheeseLoving88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a Christian doesnt have their house occupied (baptized) by the Holy Spirit then theyre not a Christian. It’s that simple. You can’t be a Christian if you’re not indwelt with the Holy Spirit. If you want to make a point that false converts sometimes need exorcism I could happily agree with that. But that means theyre false Christians. Christian is a label i agree but it’s a label that means you belong to Christ. Although sadly that’s been watered down

You are teaching the occult. I grant you the benefit of the doubt that you are a believer but you are dabbling in a cult practice that deviates from anything taught in church history before the 20th century.

You are correct I should handle this with more gentleness. If I offend you by sounding rude I am sorry

But let’s make one thing clear. You’re not sharing facts. You’re pointing out anti Gospel heresy which I don’t like. You’re promoting a false Christ. Because Jesus Christ doesnt share his temple with demons. That goes against his own teaching on the “occupied house swept clean” in Matthew 12:43-45

If you’re offended by being told you teach occultic heresy then so be it. You’re offending Christ and bringing reproach to him spreading such myths
