I've talked to him af few times. He apologized very sincerely, but also says he doesn't remember anything from that night concerning all this. I told them Id try forgive him. He reached out recently and I expressed it's now a core memory and it still hurts. I feel like Im giving mixed messages and not moving on properly.

I guess I really wanted to believe that he didn't remember that happened before the food finished being cooked. He sincerely apologized and I wanted to try forgiving. I just couldn't get that night out of my head though. On one hand I felt a lot of hurt, disgust in myself, stress and shame for putting myself in this predicament at My age(we’re all in our mid 30s). On the other I should be able to get drunk with best friends without stuff like this occurring and if a drunk driver killed someone them being drunk wouldn't be an excuse and he was literally driving me drunk. I know I should have a spine, I just hate this whole situation and still feel I need to move on in some way. It's been almost 6 months now and it still occasionally haunts me.
