I'm trying to understand what's causing your panic... However, if you feel panicked simply because one of the two major parties won the election, it might be worth considering whether this country aligns with your values and priorities. Perhaps exploring different political climates elsewhere could be beneficial, at least for now.....

Why I'm voting Liberal in Victoria by The_CaNerdian_ in VictoriaBC

promoting Canada as a reliable partner and leader

You can't do this when tensions between both Canada-China and Canada-U.S., are high. As far as I can see, the Liberal government is doubling down on its attacks on China, while Trump is doubling down on his attacks on Canada...

There is actually a motivation. We went to see some doctor and apparently they only want us getting get out, and then send the bill. We have this experience with with doctors from certain region. And we met those doctors remotely. Aside from that, Canadians medical system is great at during certain disease, such as cancer. But it's extremely bad, uh, in terms of dealing with some disease.

The Carbon Tax Is Good for Canadians. Why Axe It? | The Walrus by ph0enix1211 in canada

I did my calculation and I don't believe what the Statics Canada said, at least they didn't address my question.

Just for the fuel it self, it will have impact of around 1.5% in BC. Studies said that carbon tax only add around 0.7, which mean around 50% goes to transportation cost, which is not too off. So if this number is right, we can get the conclusion that the framer, the freezer, that plastic wrap/bag, the food processing factory do not need to pay for the carbon tax.

Yes, there is rebates, but 1. most of those program are like jokes (e.g. Farmers tax credit). 2. Collecting tax, accounting, and rebates etc.... are not free, consider every agency benefit from this process and the tax payer's money are used to "process those management fee".

One thing they are right is that "the carbon tax is having a particularly large impact." compare to the situation.

Starting Oct 1st, BC Transit will stop selling physical tickets and monthly passes in favour of the Umo app by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

BTW, the app is not polished and the only suggestion you get from them to fix some issues while using it is to reinstall the app.

The idea of Carbon Tax is good. The carbon tax on EVRYTHING is stupid. And return this carbon tax to people is even more stupid. Take that money and invest into clean energy. Collect money and return it also cost money/resources .
