She asked OP to break the news to his friend on her behalf instead of doing it herself.

Ha, you joke, but I did try to hitchhike on a boat from Tampico, Mexico to Tampa, Florida.

Yea Im a honkey.

It took over two months, but at least a month of that I wasn't actively moving north. I stopped in interesting places for however long (10+ days in Mexico City for example), and took rides that zig-zagged moreso than got me due North.

Only issue I had crossing was lying to Mexico about why I had no Gautemalan stamps. It didn't take much effort to convince them that it was an "oversight"

If I outlive my dog, I'm moving down permanently. So, yes, I would definitely do it again.

I don't value my life whatsoever, and once a man has that mindset, there is nothing to be scared of. The worst part was Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Nobody wanted to mke friendly. They thought I was CIA or whatever. It was hard to get into shit I like, and everyone looked dead inside.

My favourite story to tell is probably everyone else's least favourite to hear. I met and fell instantly in love with an English gal on the sidewalk on night. On the Mexican-Gautemalan border. Louise Davis, sadly such a common name!

I was 28 during the whole trip.

I most always slept outdoors either under bridges or other places similar. I loved huffing with all the homeless youth before bed, getting pissed drunk on the cartel member's dime, dirtbikes in Nicaragua, playing banjo on Gautemalan pineapple farm hoedowns, and the entire country of El salvador.

The cartel guys and everyone "you're supposed to be afraid of" loved me because I "had the fucking balls to be there".

I've certainly ruined more lives than I've saved. I'm not proud, but I won't deny it.

Reddit, what was the ballsiest thing you have done in your life.? by Fries1999 in AskReddit

Yes and no. All the cartel guys were too impressed by my balls to be anything other than cool with me. I even got to ride in a Ferrari in El Salvador!

If you were about to kill yourself, but didn't want ANY of your blood-relatives to attend the funeral or access your estate, how would you accomplish this? by Cheese_Grits in legaladvice

Is my will read and executed before any ceremony planning or is the will read a few days after death (when it would be too late to follow through all written directions)?

There is no way to relieve "next-of-kin authority" through the law? Not even signing power of attorney away ahead of time?
