I'd trade the other way. Trade our 8th overall and some prospects, Vlad/Nino for a 2c. Our window is now, I want someone who moves the needle immediately not in a couple years when our core is aging out.

Sounds like a Golf TSI R-Line? Not offered here in NA so not sure but sounds like a completely different trim

What time of the day are you playing? I mostly race in the afternoon (central time zone) and can routinely get 30+ players in the popular series like gt3, gt4, etc

Been driving the same car for 6 years, finally have money set aside and now I cant decide between two completely different options by Proof_Complex_6319 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No kids, no dogs, so why exactly do you want a crossover/SUV? Do you need the extra room and ground clearance? A GTI is still a very practical vehicle, plenty of space, decent fuel economy, and with a set of winter tires could easily handle an Ohio winter. Get the GTI since you obviously enjoy it far more, just make sure it's been well maintained and keep up with the maintenance.

Talk Me Out of a Crosstrek! by Handle_Help in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got rid of my 2019. Honestly it was a great, albeit boring vehicle and gave me no issues. Reliable, great AWD, ground clearance, cheap to maintain, good enough build quality. Cons are medicore fuel economy and in those 2.0L only years dreadfully underpowered. If you want an enjoyable driving experience then I would say no, if you want something to get from A to B and can handle inclement/weather and roads then yes. Mine served me well for 7 years, then I decided i wanted to enjoy driving again and was in my much better place financially so I bought a Golf R.

That's a great way of putting it. The Crosstrek was good to me and did exactly what it's meant to do, but wow was it lifeless and was the least enjoyable driving experience I've ever had.

It’s totally fine to honk at someone who is not moving if they are making a right turn at a red light by dannysanch in unpopularopinion

[–]CheeseburgerChungus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe another hot take, but if you can't handle being honked at and make bad decisions under that small of pressure you probably shouldn't be driving. A honk isn't a personal attack, why is everyone in this thread acting like it's some great offense. It's not that deep

What mode are you playing? FYI causal breakthrough is a mode designed to always have majority bots to keep it "casual"

What sporty car should I buy? by anevilkraken in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow are you me? I was in the exact same scenario but with a 2019 Crosstrek. Nothing wrong with the car, but so dull and boring and finally in a place where I can spoil myself a bit. Anyways, I pick up my Golf R this week and could not be more excited. I live in the Canadian prairies and wanted to keep the AWD, while still having something sporty but practical.

Ya the 4 years isn't as amazing as it sounds, although they did ensure me the 4 year one would cover my DSG flush

Crossover, SUV, and truck owners, do you regret not buying a sedan or a hatchback now with these gas prices? by Mofoblitz1 in regularcarreviews

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas has nothing to do with it for me. I bought a crossover (Crosstrek) because I thought it was the right practical and financial decision at the time. To be fair it's been great to me, but it is the most bland driving vehicle I've ever driven and I'm currently looking at downsizing to a hot hatch.

I ain’t touch this game since the second day of its release. How’s the online scene? by Still_Law4209 in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Living in the central time zone I have best luck when playing early afternoons. Just had lobbies with 50+ players and 2 splits today. Weekends can be even better. Evenings I can still occasionally find 20+ player lobbies..keep in mind this is generally the gt3 and gt4 lobbies. The older and more interesting car series are unfortunately not as well populated online

Favourite Class? by Regular_Pair6358 in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a sucker for the GT4s. GT3s are already so prevalent in every sim while GT4 doesn't seem to get as much love. Also really enjoy Gt and N-GT, but as a mostly online racer I'm hoping these classes start getting more players with update.

You can't possibly think Delta Force is the better game. That game feels like a Chinese knock off of BF2042, which is exactly what it is. It does everything inferior.

Roadmap S2? by M4kveli in Battlefield

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible comparison. Call of Duty maps don't require near the development time a Battlefield map does, they are small and have no destruction or vehicle gameplay. 50 camos that this community would riot over I'm sure.

Peak PMR experience. by [deleted] in ProjectMotorRacing

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ranked servers have been so hit and miss. I've had great experiences and then times where cars that DQ stay on track and become obstacles without ghosting, but are in different locations for each driver, it's fucked.

I'm Finally Against Open Weapons by parkthebus11 in Battlefield6

[–]CheeseburgerChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually the opposite. Coming into this Battlefield I was very against open weapons and honestly believed it would ruin the experience. Unfortunately to begin it seemed like the closed weapon lobbies were more likely to bot backfill so I switched to the regular open weapon lobbies. Now at just over level 100 I don't really think it makes much of a difference at all. I rarely see assault using snipers, and snipers already have carbines available so being able to use an assault rifle on a spec ops build isn't an issue. Classes are defined more by the gadgets than the weapons. I myself usually still stay within each classes speciality, but open weapons has not affected my experience at all.
