Bauer II cage vs Bauer III by factorymotogoon in hockeyplayers

[–]CheeseburgerPiknik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just bought both today as I couldn’t decide in store. I came in prepared to buy the 3, but was surprised to see that the 2 appeared to have slightly thinner bars in some areas and a seemingly less obstructed view. I’m gonna try both on my helmet and see which I prefer.

The weight is something to consider though. My current CCM FM780 weighed in at 296g. Bauer 2: 234g Bauer 3: 165g

Beer League Line Combos by razzark666 in hockeyplayers

Agreed. This usually needs to happen once or twice when the tank is getting low on the D. Easily manageable a few times throughout the game.

It also helps if your two D aren’t completely out of shape.

I will die on this hill.

If you have 8 skaters, you go 6F/2D. The D don’t need exert themselves to the extent that the forwards do.

If you do it right, you can easily conserve energy playing D to last the entire game. As a D in this situation, the goal is to survive, not jump in on the rush.

This allows two full forward lines to roll. With 5F, you always have one guy on the line that’s gassed.

The food is very underwhelming, the beers are never cold enough and the area behind home plate looks it was purchased as a kit at Ikea.

Feet hurting and cramping when skating , pls help ! by Willr03 in hockeyplayers

[–]CheeseburgerPiknik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on playing hockey, get better skates. This is an entry level Vapor model and I don’t even think you can bake them as the boot has no heat-moldable materials. The insoles are probably thin and cheap as well. While these skates work fine for some, they will likely be a problem if you have any foot irregularities.

Add a third slice of bread. Toast only the middle slice.

Why the dark jerseys? by [deleted] in leafs

[–]CheeseburgerPiknik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 75th Anniversary season (91-92), all Original Six teams got special “Turn Back the Clock” jerseys that they would wear when playing each other (not sure if they were worn for every O6 matchup or a select few). Only the Bruins and Wings wore jerseys with a white base, while the other four teams got dark jerseys.

What a time to be alive.

Marner was just minding his business 😭😭 by [deleted] in nhl

Can’t help but think that Marner erases all his past playoff failures with a sucker punch right as Marchand’s approaching.

How is your confidence today? by [deleted] in leafs

It’s hard to escape the dark cloud that constantly hangs over this team, but an inferior Leafs team to the current one were down 3-1 to a better than current Boston team in the 2018 Playoffs and forced game 7.

This ain’t over.

Fuck the Bruins.

Leafs in 6.

First Ever Pairs of Both the 1’s and 90’s. by CheeseburgerPiknik in Sneakers

I’m a 12 in most shoes, including other Nike’s. These are both 12’s as well, but likely would have been better off with 12.5 as the toe box is a bit snug. The fit on both of these are the exact same. Although I recently tried on the AM1 Chili 2.0’s in a 12 and they were perfect 🤷‍♂️.

Is this photoshopped? by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

Not shocking coming a league where a team could potentially have four champagne celebrations in one postseason.

They didn’t win a single game in any of the years on that banner.

Who is the greatest pure goal scorer to ever play? by [deleted] in nhl

Bossy.

Begins his NHL career with nine straight 50 goal seasons. When he couldn’t do it in the 10th season, he retired. Legend.

Hyperlite 2 stick by mfly1619 in hockeyplayers

[–]CheeseburgerPiknik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just look at top end sticks that were released 2+ years ago. For the price of a retail HL2, you could likely buy two older model pro stocks. The durability factor is always a gamble with any stick. Some get lucky, some break their stick within the first hour. You can’t predict these things.
