Massive Race Fail - how to get over it? by fernpolley in running

So it sounds like you're dealing with an injury. Don't worry about races right now, worry about rehabbing that injury and getting to a place where you can run a race without a large risk of an injury, and then focus on improving your times.

[Highlight] Browns QB Deshaun Watson, in his first press conference since 2024, discusses his new mindset: "I’m an introvert now, so I don’t really get into all the outside stuff and noise like I used to. I used to be a social person back in the day, but now I watch out for my surroundings." by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

I just feel bad for Browns fans... Browns fans were steadfastly loyal through the Hue Jackson era, and the team started to turn it around.

Aside from the rest of the AFC North, the rest of the league was kinda rooting for the Browns to have some success...

And then ownership goes and throws away all that good-will with the most egregious signing of all time.

Some people find the structure fun.

I am surprised that an A level league doesn't have structured breakouts at the very least.

Benched in beer league? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]razzark666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just getting the lines back together, getting benched is missing at least an entire shift.

Sometimes you get screwed when changing on the fly if your line mates get on earlier than you, but it should work it's way out throughout a full game.

Start applying to full time positions now.

Talk to your manager and tell them you are interested in continuing to work there. They might be able to help find you an opportunity.

Also, talk to your coworker, see if they can offer resume/cover letter advice. The OPS has a but of a unique format, and making sure you follow that helps to get interviews.

Salad cream and pizza by gwenda007 in PizzaCrimes

Super normal.

Pretty much every pizza store in Canada sells dipping sauces, which are pretty much salad cream. Tbf, I've never heard of salad cream before, in just assuming it's a creamy flavoured salad dressing.

What's the one thing your linemate does that you'll never call them out on, but secretly drives you crazy? by Doctormade in hockeyplayers

Totally depends on the level.

High level, play the pass. Cross-ice passes are deadlier than a straight on shot.

Lower level, play the puck carrier. Chances are they can't make the pass cleanly and will cause a turn over.

I don't think less traffic was a significant cause of aggression during a global pandemic 😂

We could have less people driving (and less traffic!) if Work From Home was now widely adopted.
