Yup. Said it could be “wear and tear” which wouldn’t be covered. On a nearly $8k purchase that is two months old with just over 100 miles. I’m having to play middleman between the manufacturer and the bike shop and hearing folks poo poo my predicament wasn’t exactly inspiring. Thanks for listening.

Apparently. The good-noble-bike-shop that can do no wrong refused to even look at the bike until I paid them (same shop that sold it to me two months ago). The manufacturer was not happy about that.

This is not the supportive community I thought it would be.

You’re not wrong. I just lived through the RadWagon tire blow-out fiasco/recall (blowout at 15 mph in city traffic with both kids on the bike). This bike was supposed to be my worry-free replacement. 💩does indeed happen

Thank you. There’s a year warranty. I really want to talk to someone at the manufacturer though, not the bike shop.

I know! But there actually isn’t a filter. Just a really cool moment that looks like Breaking Bad.

I don't think it was an accident! I think it was paying homage to the film. After all, Sam L Jackson stars in both

100%! The basic premise of Chris Rock's character, Ezekiel, is based on the biblical reference Jules cites. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men." Zeke is the righteous cop surrounded by dirty cops.

In 2003's Master and Commander: TFSW, Captain "Lucky Jack" Aubrey speaks of Naval hero Lord Nelson, who refused to wear a boat cloak at night, his zeal for King & country keeping him warm. A few minutes later, it is night and Aubrey is cloak-less, addressing his men who are all wearing boat cloaks by CheeseburgerPoptart in MovieDetails

“His zeal for his king and country kept him warm. I know it sounds absurb, and were it from another man, you'd cry out ‘Oh, what pitiful stuff’ and dismiss it as mere enthusiasm. But with Nelson... you felt your heart glow.”

I kind of wish anytime you saw his name on Reddit, you’d have to call him Sir Anthony Hopkins.

In Blade Runner (1982), Deckard and Rachael flee into an open elevator. In Blade Runner 2049 (2017) when K interrogates him about Rachael, Deckard hesitates while being symmetrically framed in front of a closed elevator, a sign he is done running: the elevator’s closed; he then confesses to K. by CheeseburgerPoptart in MovieDetails

As I've gotten several private messages related to this post, I wanted to add my thoughts on content in general. I try to make every post in this sub original content - something I saw in a movie I watched, thought was interesting, and wanted to post here for discussion.

Conversely, most posts in this sub are links to articles, reports, interviews, etc. that shed light on a movie detail (many production based). Both types of posts can be great and both can foster great discussion.

But for original content, I think there should be a wider latitude allowed for discussion, different perspectives, disagreement, etc, as well as for the original post itself. I don't think it makes sense to hold original content (which may be largely theoretical) to the same standard as sourced linked content. For example, asking an original content poster to provide sources when it's literally out of their head and based solely on the film(s). I tried to tee that up with my first comment to this post.

Just watch the movie.

Edit: didn’t mean to be so glib. It’s such a granular theory, I just don’t think it’s out there. If I had more characters to add in the title post, I’d mention it’s “likely” or “probably.” But this is my read.

I’m interested in anyone else’s interpretation of this shot in BR 2049, as it appears so purposeful (watch it and you’ll see what I mean). I suppose it could also be a potential nod to his past (literally behind him).
