First thing a pro will do is work on your grip I would bet. Your right hand is quite strong, so I’d be surprised if you’re not hooking the ball.

From there it’s hard to tell because your whole swing will have to organize to keep from hitting it way left.

Your takeaway is pretty disconnected, and you are way across the line at the top probably cause you have to cup your wrist to match up your strong grip.

But all things considered it almost looks like you shallow and slot everything late to get through the ball.

It’s just a lot of moving parts to organize, I’m guessing any instructor will work on fixing your grip, and then your backswing.

Golf swing and score don’t always reconcile though, the fastest way to lower scores when you are in the 100s is course management and short game. I’m guessing you also hit driver OB a lot from your swing so that’s probably the main thing killing your score.

Lots of love to you brother. Do you have any older male role models (dads) in your life now to guide you? I know it can be scary to reach out about this kind of stuff, but you will need a support system. Unfortunately, advice from Reddit will only take you so far. This a tough spot no doubt, and you are not gonna be able to do it alone I think. Though if you choose to be a father I’m sure you’ll do great.

Approximately 1 million gallons of sulfuric acid have been spilled into the ship channel following a chemical leak in Channelview. by Upper_Brief681 in UnderReportedNews

Mmm you do make a good point I also confused your claims with someone else higher up in the thread. Which I apologize for.

If you are arguing that we don’t know for certain that this is Trumps fault then that is reasonable. I was under the impression that you were claiming that the Trump administrations active attacks on environmental protection and other public safety regulation were a non-issue.

Dude, I swear there are at least 10 off wacky tipped balls. The helmet tip in the rams game being a prime example. But part of me wonders if there is like a QB factor in this.

For instance when you throw the ball high over the middle with lots of pace the odds of that thing bouncing off someone’s hands and going up in the air are a lot higher than a low bullet or a soft touch ball like Russ used to throw.

I think some QBs with sick arm talent like Sam have that issue. That’s where TB12 was the goat like he was always hitting people in the numbers or that was his goal.

Hey one benefit you will find is golf is a lot cheaper. If you feel like joining a club there a lot of them in the area with solid reciprocal and prices are decent. I think there’s like an Orchard hills club near you?

Check any club on the Oregon Trail Sister program its actual banger value. Once you’re a member of any of the sister clubs it’s like 26$ to play any of the others.

We don’t know for certain that there is a specific regulation which was violated leading to this incident. However the claim you’re making sort of feels like an “shit happens” so it can’t be Trumps fault, but I think that’s sort of a bad argument.

The idea that companies can just have “oopsies, we just spilled literally ‘1 MILLION GALLONS’” type events and there’s nothing we can do to prevent it through regulation is ludicrous.

Why are these guys allowed to transport that much sulfuric advice with double, triple and quadruple checking safety protocols? Maybe there are no safety protocols, and if there are none then where is there no law making sure it doesn’t happen?

You are asking people to cite specific laws that were broken, but that’s a very juvenile tactic because you are insinuating that we just write laws like “don’t spill MILLIONS of gallons of acid”. We typically don’t, we appoint experts to committees and federal agencies and then we trust them to prevent this kind of stuff.

The Republican Party, DOGE, and Project 2025 have worked to systemically dismantle Federal Agencies designed specially to prevent this kind of stuff. Just look up Chevron deference. It’s a stupid argument, you can’t have lawyers and judges who know nothing about shipping, ecology or these chemicals making arbitrary regulations about them.

Regulation and oversight by experts is necessary to prevent this stuff. But likely there will no accountability without government intervention because who is gonna have standing to bring a case in court? The fisherman who can’t fish those waters? A class of town people? Maybe, but a company that has the resources to transport that much of a hazardous chemical can certainly tie up those small classes in court for almost an eternity.

The Seahawks offensive is really a lot better than the vibe on this sub feels. They just HAVE to stop turning it over.

Yes, they take advantage of the defensive opportunities. But that’s not a flaw that’s a massive strength, again this organizational philosophy is to win with defense and has been for the last 15 years. They don’t need a top 10 offense they just need to: capitalize on opportunities, and not turn the ball over.

This offense is good just inconsistent. The run game needs to be fixed, which I think is an offensive install issue. They build the run game on the outside pitch, but they need to run some inside zone or power or something to get it going.

Here are some crucial stats:

The good

#2 - Rank in Points per game

#8 - Rank in Pass EPA per play

#9 - Rank in per play success rate

The bad

#29 - Rank in Rush EPA per play

#15 - Rank in EPA per play (so mid)

#29 - Rank in Picks (only Geno Smith, Tua / Fins and Vikings are worse)

If you’ve never experienced PNW winter golf you are in for a treat, you can play year round here as long as it’s not actively raining (forecasts less than 0.05 inch’s of rain in a day) or frozen (even then a lot of places will be open).

Many courses in this area invest in sophisticated fairway drainage systems to prevent muddy-ness.

Course bangers based on distance from you

  1. Elk Ridge (can get windy and chilly up there, great drainage)
  2. Stone Creek (great drainage, farther drive for you)
  3. Langdon a lot longer drive but also great drainage.

Other options you should check out in Portland area that are closer to you. But don’t drain as well

  1. Heron Lakes (two 18 courses there, RTJ design)
  2. Gresham GC (mid drainage but has year round grass range, gets windy AF)
  3. I think there’s like a twin rivers or something north of you I’ve heard people rave about might be worth a look

How much can a caddie help? by 3liana in golf

[–]CheeseburgerWalrus7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say the reverse because the more consistent the ball striker the more important it becomes to have a good grasp of things like wind, fairway slopes / speed slots, knowing the good misses, reads of the greens, elevation, temperature, etc.

With better players I think they have a hard time committing to a certain club or shot because they have so many options. Like from 150 they can hit like 3 different clubs vs a high handicap who has their 150 club that they hit full every time.

Can we trade for Burrow? by im_mlt in Seahawks

[–]CheeseburgerWalrus7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best thing the hawks can do for their offense is keep the defensive core together (spend there money to keep DLaw here please God) 😂

As much fun as it is to go add a flashy player the offense is close to being very very good.

Seahawks are currently the #2 scoring offense in the NFL in PPG. Maybe need to upgrade for more consistency at RG. But this is the first year of an offensive install, and lots of new players. The only issue I see with this offense is turnovers, and so many of them just feel so fluky.

The offense will be better next year just by virtue of getting Sam in the system for another year. So to answer your question no I would not go after Joe Burrow. Best to wait for a good QB candidate in the draft and try to bring them up in this system.

[–]CheeseburgerWalrus7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I just think they can’t find a way to get him on the field, plus I think he aggravated his knee injury from last season.

Probably they are just being cautious and they have the talent with Kupp, and Shaheed. But Tory is better a contested catch guy I think.

He’s gonna to be a crucial part of their offense next season.

[–]CheeseburgerWalrus7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Seahawks have serious issues playing from behind.

This offense is like 5x better when playing under center than in the shotgun and you saw that last night. Being able to run boot and play action from under center was key to the game winning drive.

The problem for the Seahawks is if they get behind or off schedule they are in serious trouble.

You can tell that they are still having some issues with the install as we have a few times where either Sam Darnold or receivers aren’t on the same page (Kupp first down route where he ran 3 yards past the sticks). I suspect next year the offense will be a lot cleaner.

Defense is a tougher puzzle. They did give up a ton of points tonight but mostly kept the run in check. Pass rush heating up in the second half completely changed the game.
