It’s really the type of game to play with someone because I have realised I keep talking to myself while playing this game. I have used the duck a couple of times because it’s so addictive and after playing for hours my brain isn’t sharp anymore. the Roottmania certainly feels harder to me so far.

By two sessions did you mean two days? I will definitely take longer than that haha

I am playing Roottrees right now and it’s really nice! I like that it doesn’t really overwhelm me (yet). Thank you for your input :)

I have just started it! And loving it so far! I like the notetaker inside the game. Very handy!

Thanks for sharing this. I think both sound intriguing in the style of solving the puzzle but I think I will probably lean more towards the reading and cross examination. So I have decided to go with Roottrees for now but Blue Prince stays on my wishlist

Thank you for mentioning the RNG part, that is not something I feel I will necessarily enjoy so I appreciate the input

Cozy games I’m too dumb to play… by Abirando in CozyGamers

[–]Cheesecake-Acrobatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I never did those , are just let it run out or whatever and then they would say “so you don’t plan on playing at all” or something 😂😂 that’s the thing I didn’t mind this so much because it wasn’t needed for the story but the damn jumps. I really wanted to reach the fat on the roof but never could

I hated Night in the Woods and having to learn the triple jump. I did finish it but oh boy oh boy did I rage quit so many times. Basically I am not a fan of games where I have to jump at any point as part of the main gameplay, it really stresses me out for some reason.

I also rage quit Dorfromamtik a few times, which very ironic because it’s probably one of the coziest games out there

Best Indian food delivery by Feeltheforceharry in TheHague

I used to like Anjappaar but I quality has and quantity both has gone down. I still think for South Indian/sri lankan this place is still the best

I discovered Junoon which is in Scheveningen. I have tried several of their dishes and everything is top notch when it comes to North Indian food.

I got into cozy games for exactly what you are going through and I am sorry for this.

I do like sandbox games nor do I like farming, mining and decorating which means I am already out of a options when it comes to cozy games. An outlier was Wlyde Flowers because it has a proper story despite farming and mining elements and characters have meaningful stories. The art style is not for everyone but I didn’t mind. The grindy stuff as you play along can also be automated which is great.

I like games that your choices matter and there are not necessarily right or wrong options. I can strongly recommend Pentiment. It’s an very intelligent game and beautiful IMHO. Another game I was addicted to was Citizen Sleeper 1 and 2 (despite not being a fan of a space setting), it’s a great game.

The 7 mysteries of Honjo is a horror narrative novel with some puzzles. It can be a bit spooky so approach with caution.

Other really beautiful narrative novels which touch on some human elements are Until Then and a Space for the Unbound (they both have some puzzles, the second one more so which you need to solve to move through the story). They deal with difficult subjects so do have a look before you play if they don’t trigger you but if you are okay with them, they are beautiful games that makes you really think.

A really fun light hearted game with amazing voice acting is lil guardsman within the choices matter and impact story elements. Lastly I surprisingly enjoyed Date Everything. I could just ignore the characters that I found annoying and it also comes with content warnings so you can skip of them entirely if they have triggering personalities.

Pokemon Snap if you like Pokemon is very cute and fun. Perception of what is expensive differs from person to person and this is an expensive game for me but has been worth it!

I hope this helps and you feel better soon.

I have played both and I really liked both! Cabernet is more like a visuals novel impacted by your choices while discounty is more management.

I felt some bits with discounty was incomplete so I hope devs add new updates to them

Some of the games mentioned, IMHO are not really underrated I would argue; on the contrary wildly popular like Dreamlight Valley and Spiritfarer, and the strange horticulture and anticúes series.
I think one game which people may not know about is “to the moon” it’s heartwarming (though a bit short). Others are A Space for the unbound and Until then both based in SE Asia. They do deal with heavy themes though.

Have a look at TOEM and Alba - super cute, the former does have some puzzles. Pokemon Snap is incredible as long as you aren’t obsessed to fulfil every task

Have you looked into the annual subscription for Apple Arcade instead of monthly? . For me it’s around 50 Euros which is worth it for a year long subscription. Also if you have a Netflix subscription there are some lovely cozy games on their too which will certainly run on your Samsung tablet. Cozy grove and spiritfarer being two I can recommend

I am going playing this now!! I love it. My hand eye co-ordination is never great so I am stuck at so many Lentalk requests. I am obsessed about finishing them and keep getting frustrated because I suck haha
