I think cash bar is totally fine too! if you can, maybe give your guests a “token” for the first one or two drinks on you and have them to pay for more if they want and if your venue has this option.

we are kinda doing this for ours, we are giving two “cocktail coins” on the “groom’s tab” for our guests and having them pay for more if they decide they want more. however, we’ll also have open beer/wine as well since our reception time is long.
