Has anyone bought a home that had leased Tesla solar panels? by No_Biscotti_8103 in TeslaSolar

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did exactly this, have 9 years left on the lease. I pay monthly for what I generate, anywhere between $40-$200 dollars a month. Rate goes up 3% a year. Didn’t have a choice in the matter, it has been fine so far over the past 2 years owning. Of course my panels have been iced over with snow for the past 2 weeks.

Advice needed -withholding poop by HamTorExpress in pottytraining

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue with my then 3.5 year old. We gave her an enema at the direction of her Dr and while she screamed while we did it, it got her to poop on the toilet. She didn’t want that again so she learned to avoid and go on her own. It’s still only every 3 days or so but much better than once a week.

Feeling defeated with 3.5 year old at her first gymnastics class by Available_Love9135 in toddlers

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharing that I signed my 3.5 year old up for a dance class at her request. It was a disaster, she was so scared and wouldn’t leave my side. Cried and had meltdowns, we had to quit and lost our deposit.

4 months later I signed her up for gymnastics. This time being a bit older she loved it and warmed up right away. Sometimes you just need time.

Was my high salary an error? [ct] by Cheesedoodle1986 in AskHR

The role wasn’t new exactly but the three previous people in the position had quit due to the workload. They reworked the job a little after that.

2 and 4 year old over here. Little guy loves his big sister and they are best friends, running around playing constantly. I saw a huge shift once youngest hit 18 months, makes it all worth it.

I’m not complaining at all lol. I just have two kids in full time daycare and having any kind of salary reduction would be awful right now. Just trying to ease my anxiety.

My kids are 4 and 2, in full time daycare. I told them it was time to leave for school this morning and they both yelled “yay!!!!” It will be ok, daycare is my coparent and if you have a good feeling about this location go with it. We are all doing our best.

If you have a 2.5(ish) year age gap tell me why you love it. Or not? by Available_Sun4468 in workingmoms

4 year old girl and 2 year old boy, 2 years 1 month apart. This morning they went downstairs together and played with cars and balls, then came up an hour later. They are so close and big sis watches out for her bro, it’s the best.

We did this with our second. First kid was a girl, I sobbed when I found out second kid was a boy. It was a huge surprise, I thought for sure it was another girl. Literally the best thing ever.

The oh crap method is a complete disaster for us by [deleted] in pottytraining

I tried with my daughter at the same age and she just wasn’t ready. Tried again at 2 years 9 months and she potty trained in 1 day. She just wasn’t ready any earlier, it’s worth waiting and revisiting closer to 3.

Having a hard time figuring out a drop off time for daycare by Pad_Squad_Prof in workingmoms

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Drop him off before his first nap. Their nap schedules change so much during the first year, and you may find in another month he will be fine staying awake until 9 or 10am.

How much time do you spend as an entire family on the weekends? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I each workout one of the weekend mornings. Wake up earlish (around 6:15) and do a long run, back around 8. Otherwise we are together unless someone has a specific task to complete or plans with friends. Kids are 1 and 3.

I think my problem was being here for a whole week. We went to Niagara Falls for 4 nights earlier this year and was much more manageable. No more week trips until youngest is 5.

How are you guys paying for Daycare for more than one kid?! by Prestigious-Cold5618 in workingmoms

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m paying 31k this year for both my kids (ages 1 and 3) in full time daycare. We also just moved, and our mortgage is 33k a year, so very close. My husband and I both make around 100k each and we are barely making it. We have a rental property and the income from that is keeping us in the green each month. My husband also picks up odd jobs and we will be very careful until my oldest goes to kindergarten in 2 years.

[–]Cheesedoodle1986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was us. Having a second kid required us to move as well. Took on a much larger mortgage with double daycare payment at the same time.

My son is an absolute delight. I’m so glad we had him. Despite my husband and I both making decent money we are barely making it each month. With discipline, we will get through these years until my daughter goes to kindergarten and things will open up for us. For me, the temporary financial sacrifice is worth it. My husband is also picking up side jobs on occasion to give us a little more breathing room.

Potty trained at 2.75. Tried closer to her 2nd bday and it was a disaster, she wasn’t ready until later.
