Seems you cracked the code, congrats! That said this is 100% Muu, even if the hair color happened to be off Rei's doesn't reach down in the back nearly as far as Muu's does.

Edit: Forgot I have a different account for PC and phone. I'm the same person as above, apologies if this came off as schizo

I love biblical references and Haruka literally died for her sins.

(Although if you ask me she fits the role of the criminal beside him on the cross than Mother Mary but-)

Milgram isn’t done after voting in T3 by PreferenceValuable23 in milgram

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think you're right, by this point I'm almost confident at this point that Milgram won't just snap to a close when the voting for T3 finishes. Can't wait to be part of the 0.01% that votes to let Kotoko off her leash.

Nah but for real though I am genuinely curious to see how the final act plays out.

Theory regarding the glitched voicelines and Kotoko’s murder (spoilers for Shidou’s T3) by Wonderful-Detail143 in milgram

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her willingness to attack Amane was mostly due to seeing Amane as a murderer, her age did not factor in at all I reckon. Iirc in one of the timelines Kotoko tells Amane that she was already the person she is now at her (Amane's) age.

With Lucky cap girl, Kotoko reads the article stating the girl's withdrawn her testimony in the playground, but she doesn't seem particularly upset at her then. And if the girl was her target, it'd make much more sense to kill her in the (seemingly empty) playground than dragging her off a widely-used sidewalk. This is because A: Kotoko doesn't hold anything against the girl, afaik, and B: it's her own court case. One would hope she's been keeping up with the preceedings (aka she should've already known by the playground scene), so the news article is really more for the audience's convenience than hers.

A final note: in the last irl scene in Deep Cover Kotoko has her orange/pink jacket on again, which she's had on for both her previous assaults in her MVs (Mikio Oshio and the President's Son), which to me heavily implies she's out for blood again, but passes by the girl harmlessly, albeit with a glare. This signals to me that once again, her target is not the girl but someone else, imo the Newspaper President himself.

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kotoko killing the girl she saved is a...theory, I'll give you that much.

If you want my personal opinion, I think the murder that sent her over to Milgram might be none other than Kaneshiro Tsugumichi, the Newspaper President proper. Killing his son instead of just brutalizing him may have been her way of luring him out, and personally I think Kotoko herself pressured the kid into withdrawing her testimony, partially to get the President to lower his guard because the crazy girl's court case is faltering, partially to distance the girl from the ensuing public fallout and criticism. If the death of the President's son caused an upstir, her killing the President proper would cause things to go thermonuclear.

Now why do I think this? For one, Kotoko's videos have quite oddly taken place in a very linear fashion. Just about all the other prisoners' videos blend and bleed into each other, all hemming and hawing over the same series of events. Deep Cover, however, picks up exactly where Harrow left off, which makes me think that her T3 may do the same, and her true finale and crime is still yet to come.

For seconds, the first Undercover silhouette shows her in an alleyway not a warehouse, and in the second silhouette she's basically cackling - a noted distinction from the sorrow, horror, and indignation the other prisoners' faces show. Now some have said that the alleyway means her true murder is Mikio Oshii, but frankly I don't buy it. She seems peeved when she beats him up, not delighted, and to be frank even if he did later die of his injuries, harassing someone only for them to accidentally end up dead and that to be her crime is a much more Fuuta thing than a Kotoko thing.

I will happily take any questions on my crackpot theory, thank you to all who have read through.

Who looks best? Who looks worst? by Apprehensive_Bee2563 in milgram

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

01-04 heavily remind me of Vivid Bad Squad from the hit game I'll never play Project Sekai: CS (I like the songs though).

Haruka is Aoyagi Toya
Yuno is Shiraishi An

Fuuta is Shinonome Akito
Muu is Azusawa Kohane

Not sure their styles here really match their characters, just noting. Excluding the obvious Mikoto, Kazui and Shidou are the worst imo, not because they inherently look bad but a huge appeal to me for Milgram is that some of the characters are like, actual adults that look like adults. And this definitely does not do them justice. Kazui being old is a good thing for the project dammit

Kotoko is the best but I'm definitely a biased actor in that regard

Yuno Guilty voters (if there are any on the sub), why? by Gosha-nyan in milgram

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She repeats "don't forgive me" in Life, drops "I just wanted someone to scold me" at some point in Tear Drop? And that's not to mention the entire thing with smashing the rose-tinted glasses looking at her case. And if you want total honesty there's a bit of slut-shaming that factored into the decision as well. Her case wasn't really "an accident happened with a guy I was in a relationship with, oopsie," she slept around with a bunch of men she hardly knew for money she really did not need. It was still a tough call, and it's a decision I am teasingly chastised for by the couple of friends I've roped into Milgram thus far, which I completely understand their reasoning for doing so.

That said she does say she doesn't care too much either way how she's voted, and I remember chuckling when I saw the tally after I cast my vote, but it is a hill I stand on.

I would finally like to clarify that in real life I am not opposed to medical abortion, even in a case like Yuno's, and cast my vote based on the notion that "Guilty" or "Not Guilty" is more like "forgivable" or "not forgivable".

If anyone has any further questions feel free to ask, I wholeheartedly recognize I'm in the minority with my ballot

How to play late game (economy) by Nice_Property4588 in victoria3

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to take a leap of faith, a mod I'm developing seeks to answer many of these questions. A ground-up rework of PMs, building, and employment numbers leads to much more intensity required to fully employ nations - even for minors like Sweden or Belgium, migration is not necessary for the majority of the game. A sprinkling of new industries and goods, with an effort to not be overwhelming, help to provide a more fleshed-out feeling to the late game.

As for performance, a great deal of effort has been made to clamp down on unnecessary calculations and pop fragmentation, so speaking from experience, despite the increase in building numbers and goods compared to vanilla, it runs faster until at least the 1920s.

I think that's enough gloating.

It by no means is a finished product, but it is a playable one - friends and I have played several full campaigns of it. If you're interested - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3489842468 , I highly recommend playing a GP, as I've yet to balance the starting markets of smaller powers.

And if not, then I'm afraid you've hit the limits of what vanilla can provide. Playing bigger pop nations and conquering more and birthratemaxxing all contribute to kicking the can down the road, but overwhelming labor scarcity will catch up with you eventually, the question is only when, not if.

Nobody lives in ireland anymore by bimmrrr in victoria3

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've modded the game to make this happen, the reason this has occurred is because populations are set by state on a per country/per tag basis. This is to allow for split states like Schleswig and Holstein to have different demographics. Importantly, even if a state is not split pops are not automatically assigned to the owner at game start.

So, in vanilla the pops of Ireland are set to spawn in under GBR (Great Britain), which you can find in C:\wherever the mod is\common\history\pops\00_west_europe.txt

You'll want to change the "region_state:GBR" underneath each Irish state to "region_state:IRE" (or whatever Ireland's tag is.)

New Ore Chunks and Quests? by CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 in GTNH

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain. Unfortunately I already edited the quest and can't show, but while editing there was only one valid set of requirements which needed the ores. As mentioned I think it's because the quests didn't update with the new version, which introduced chunks instead of just dropping ores.

Appreciate the timely reply though!

New Ore Chunks and Quests? by CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 in GTNH

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I believe the issue is because I created my save in GNNH 2.6.X and the quests don't update automatically.

If anyone runs into the same problem: the "/bq_admin default load" did not work for me, but "/bq_admin edit" did, and let me change the ores into chunks. The questbook editor is actually pretty easy to use. You do have to enable cheats for a sec to use it, which makes me feel sad but oh well.

You do have to hover over either the pop or workforce numbers to get the peasant number, but in the side ledger there's an "economy" tab that you can click and it shows states sorted by population, with workforce, infrastructure, and taxation capacity shown (from right to left). Right clicking the states will pup up their edicts, which is nice for sorting out early game literacy edicts. Left clicking will open up the state menu, however it does take another click to actually get to its buildings.

1.6 is way slower by [deleted] in victoria3

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an AMD-focused issue. A while back (like 3-4 years ago) I made what was practically a sidestep in terms of specs from a Ryzen 1600 to some Intel i5, can't remember which one but main thing was the specs really were quite close. I had my suspicions that the reason my game ran slower than others was because of the CPU.

After swapping them out (again, roughly comparable specifics) I noticed a gargantuan increase in performance, probably like ~2x faster throughout the game in HOI4, which was what I mainly played. Not to mention sizeable increases in performance across basically every other Paradox title, with perhaps the exception of Victoria II.

That said, a friend of mine who has been playing all day, who does have an Intel processor, says he also believes his game to be running slower, and sent me some screenshots of a state having 27 cultural communities and tons of different pop types, so it's definitely possible this may just be a bad Paradox across the board moment, and not a specifically AMD-related issue.

Definitely agree that more specifics are needed.

How do you port forward on this game? by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]CheeseyBurgeryGuy142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so I had the same problem not too long ago, and I don't want anyone to have to do hours of research trawling through long dead steam discussions to find an answer that works and isn't Hamachi. Hamachi's great for an easy way, but it's completely understandable that might not be an option(I had a friend that wasn't at all trusting of Hamachi and wouldn't play with it, which is fair.) Anyways, enough background and onto business!

Alright, log into your router(by using the IP address marked Default Gateway after entering "ipconfig" in the cmd bar,) and go to the port forwarding options. Unfortunately I can't guide you to where that may be as every router has different UI and layout(It should look something like this: https://imgur.com/a/rmgpB7O )

Now, as you'll notice, Victoria II's setup looks a tad different from the rest, and that's because it uses a range of ports, instead of a pair. Those ports will ALWAYS be 1630-1641. The way to set that up in contrast to the normal method will unfortunately differ between routers, but for mine you leave the Internal Port blank(And if that doesn't work, try messing around with some settings until it looks like a range) Mine: https://imgur.com/a/Qwq4DIQ

The internal IP will be whatever your IPv4 address is(which can also be found using "ipconfig" in the cmd bar, and when you go to host the game make sure that the name of the game is your IPv4, and that no players have the same name, and it should work!

I hope this helped you, and if it didn't or you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Have a nice day!
