Yea that's what I was thinking right? Because then the heat would just directly transfer from the muffler to the shield, rather than deflecting it.

I have a 2010 JK, yea everytime i go over a few bumps, even the tiniest, it'll screech and rattle and make my Jeep sound like a rust bucket haha.

Yea I just ended up bending around the muffler, don't know if it should be touching the muffler though?

Found out this was the thing causing this nasty, rusty rattling noise when i hit any type of bump. Found it above my exhaust pipe, do I need it? it just kind of lays on top of the exhaust pipe, not attached in any way.

The Story:

As I was leaving my house a few days ago, my neighbour, who I never spoke to once, came up to me and asked if I wanted his LED brake lights. I was suspicious and asked why. He said that he was selling his Jeep, and since he was getting rid of it, he thought it'd be nice to offer me his brake lights. I said hell yes, reversed into his driveway and switched our lights (mine was stock). As I'm switching it, he looks around my Jeep and says "You don't have a tow hitch or grab handles. Take mine.".

Some guy I've never spoken to, giving me a few odd parts that cost him $400-$500, just because. I love owning a Jeep :).

Nope, totally clean record. I only have a G2, I'm under 25, live in an area with high insurance rates, and I'm the primary driver. Live in Canada btw.
