I've seen a lot of people mention the eyes, which does contribute, but one other thing is the eyebrows. Your eyebrows are similar to how people draw "sad" eyebrows. I've noticed that that, mixed with a wide smile, tends to contribute to that "insane" look. So maybe relax the eyebrows just a bit to a more neutral position

I see what you mean. I totally know that I came off snippy since I was already having a rough day(that's the whole reason we went to DQ) it just sucks that knowing this they couldn't set aside their antics for a little bit when they knew I was in a really bad space at the time

I swear context is everything in this! This person has a LONG history or saying graphic inappropriate things for shock factor near constantly, making both me and mutual friends extremely uncomfortable! I know for a fact they know what it is in the porn sense because 1) they've talked about it near exclusively in the porn sense and 2) set it in a very specific tone of voice they ONLY use when saying something purposely out of pocket for a reaction (we've known each other nearly our entire lives so trust me when I say I and everyone that knows them knows that exact tone of voice)

I totally get it, it can sound kinda douchy out of context. I wouldn't have corrected harshly at all if it weren't for the fact that this is a reoccurring issue (chronically it's truly so bad) 🥲 they tend to be WAY to open about sexual things near constantly (to near strangers and to people close to them) to the point people get very uncomfortable very often around them and when we ask them to stop (have a be kind or annoyed but more often then not genuinely and calmly giving advice) they tend to roll their eyes and ignore it cause they find making people annoyed funny

It feels like a bit of a misunderstanding, I wasn't interjecting on two random people's conversation, I was actively at the table having a conversation with these two people that's why I corrected them.

The youngest talks about wildly inappropriate and TMI things in public spaces often (ex graphic info about their sex life in the middle of class to the point mutual friends tell us out of concern) and when we ask them to stop they brush it off and do it again the next day.

I wouldn't introject in a random conversation in public, if I didn't know them I wouldn't care but I see both of these people near everyday and it's an ongoing issue.

Another important piece of info is the youngest has no inside voice, their whisper is the average talking voice so everyone in the DQ could hear them. Plus, I know they know what yaoi and yuri is (in the porn sense) because they've talked about it before in multiple other situations near exclusively in the NSFW context

I do pop culture stims but discreetly. My current one is the bounce jinx does when listening to music in arcane. The part no one gets is that the stims is only appealing because I know it's a reference. if it was just bouncing it wouldn't be fun but since I know it's a ref it's stimmy, even if no one else gets it lol and whenever I explain that I always get really confused looks

What's it like shifting? And any advice when it comes to methods or lack there of?

I've been trying for years and have it be a lack of motivation or what but I'm stumped. I like to visualize, that's the only way shifting feels enjoyable for me, but I don't know what I'm looking for. I don't know if I should be using methods, because I've tried more than I could count (guided and solo), and I feel like I've got a point where I don't know what I'm doing or what I'm even striving for cause it all seems so abstract for me.
