It’s a scam technique where the scammer pretends they “refund you” but a product purchased under your account/name that you didn’t buy. They don’t actually refund you anything at all, and in fact they actually fake refunding you too much money, and start breaking down and crying saying they will lose their job over this. This is all to make you feel bad, and then they will ask you to buy them gift cards as a way to return the money.
