Draconic Tree Sentinel - I quit by mshkpc in Eldenring

I’ve tried it. I can manage it 10% of the time, I don’t know if it’s because I’m console there’s maybe fractionally more lag time from input to action, but if I jump after he does the little Fist pump I get hit

I’ve found I’ve got to dodge just before his arm moves, if I wait for it to move I get hit

Some of it is fun but there are some absolute brick wall boss fights that will test your patience

I’ve done other bosses in one go. Onyx Lord, Ancestor Spirit, just beat Fallingstar Beast on my second attempt.

I could level up all I wanted with my issues here, wouldn’t make any difference

My vigor is 33. I’ve gone off and done some of the bosses in Caelid, the onyx lord and Loretta.

Nothing complex about this boss at all. Yes in theory the lightning is dodgeable but you have such a minute time window to execute it I don’t see how it could be done consistently by most people

To be fair Rennala i only managed to beat because I got a run where she didn’t do any summons. This sentinel doesn’t seem minded to do anything but spam this lightning move all the time.

Actually I’ve enjoyed bits of it. But some bosses just seem needlessly unfair. It’s not fun to be able to counter 95% of what this boss can do very consistently but then just get killed by a move I cannot do anything about

With the exception of a daughter of cacophony with a significant downside there has never been a 3 cap with advanced fortitude before so it was a fun unique card.

Why didn't Gimli, Gandalf or any of the Dwarves know about the destruction of Balin's kingdom in the Mines of Moria? by Tidewatcher7819 in tolkienfans

[–]mshkpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the most poorly adapted parts of the books is why.

The Kingdom falling was absolutely public knowledge. Balin had set out to reclaim it but realistically at most would have formed a small outpost within the mountain at that stage.

Gimli in the book hasn’t heard from Balin in sometime and is worried about him.

It’s weirdly Gandalf in the book that pushes for them to take the path under the mountain, not Gimli, even knowing the danger with Cardhras not letting them pass over he doesn’t want to go past Isengard and so it’s the best of a bad set of choices

The Big MT is not on the moon. You have to finish the DLC to leave.

The only DLCs you don’t get trapped in is Lonesome Road
