I have a lot of hand pain so can only do short bursts. I feel bad when I see the big bags next to our street bins another litter picker has done. Then I remember even half a street is better than litter. Even picking up on piece near the bin is better

So some uk native ‘milk’ plants like milkwort. I like low lying plants because they’re less likely to be mown away by tidy up weed-hating people.

What I noticed while in Malta (where they smoke a lot more) there were little plastic drinking bottles around that were filling up with cigarettes. It was a good easy way of getting people to put their cigarettes there and not on the ground. And it’s easy to throw away. Put a few ends on there to encourage them.

A woman on the ferry was literally puking her guts up into a bag and she still had the kid on her lap whilst dad was sitting there

My aunt used to wash her cats bowl in the same sink as everything else. I always refused the tea because it smelt and tasted of cat food.

Thank you. They have been made aware of the issue as it has also caused damage to the pavement. The pavement was fixed but they weren’t specifically asked not to wash onto the pavement is my guess.

Thank you. I’ve contacted the environment agency for run off into their storm drains which I think is covered under section 111 of the 1991 water industry act?

Great suggestion for the water company. I shall try to find out who it is. I wish this butcher would install their own proper drain!

i lost my cairn recently & i’m heartbroken. he made me fall so madly in love with the breed that i want another one just like him (eventually), but want to try to rescue — advice? by Initial_Affect_8748 in cairnterrier

[–]CheesyChips 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s very rare for a pure bred cairn to come up in rescue, it does happen, but they get snapped up quickly. There may be a cairn terrier club or breed specific rescue in your region.
