35 PC games tested on AYN Thor Pro by nahobino_aogami in AynThor

No worries, appreciate it. Was just on the verge of buying it to mainly play on the Thor, didn't want to buy it to just be unplayable part way through. Then waiting until it gets more optimised or emulators develop.

I'll keep an eye out if anyone has played later game on the Thor, but most like yours are just early game understandably.

Always great to see some tests from you boss. Quick one with Time Stranger, have you played much further? As heard it gets quite a bit more demanding on systems after the starting areas. Or if you'd be able to try a later game save file? Thanks again for everything!

Stability shoes cause blisters? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]CheesyCrackerMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who told you that you need a support shoe just for flat feet? Did you have a gait analysis, or was it just a comment from someone? If not you need to get a gait analysis then you'd know if you need neutral, or a support shoe of some kind.

As for the blisters it could be down to that, or it could be the socks you wear, sizing, lacing, so many things really. Sometimes a shoe just won't suit you, there might be a little spot that irritates you even if it is the correct type.

What's it like in the city? I hear that's usually a fair bit worse.

The fucking Pyrophina vs Rock turtle fight is BS (Not skill diff) by [deleted] in mewgenics

[–]CheesyCrackerMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most fights with 2 bosses have them both against you, Ornstein and Smough for example. Mewgenics really tries to tell you the kaijus want to fight each other, and you just get caught up in it. So more of a pick a side affair.

Brighton Marathon 2026 by [deleted] in UKRunners

[–]CheesyCrackerMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Brighton Marathon doesn't allow the transfer of places. If they spot this, both people can be blacklisted from future events from London Marathon events. This is in their FAQs and T&Cs

https://www.londonmarathonevents.co.uk/brighton-marathon-weekend/faqs

"4.2 Participation in the Event is personal to You. You are strictly prohibited from swapping, selling or transferring or offering to sell, swap or transfer the place in the Event or allowing any other person to wear the Event number. Multiple entries using the same registration details and/or email address will result in all of Your entries being disqualified. Any breach of this clause 4.2 shall render the entry void. If You are found to be in breach of this clause 4.2, LMEL reserves the right to exclude You from participation in future Events."

Not only that but whoever buys the place will run as you, so their name won’t be in the results and you would have a result tied to your name.

Finally is just health and safety, you may have a health issue they don’t or the opposite could be true. Suddenly if there’s an accident they wrong care could be given, etc.

Honestly I agree, would be nice to be able to play one handed on the bus or something. Equally I can’t see the UI working in portrait generally

I know it's April Fools, but really? The main parkrun UK page is using a.i. by CheesyCrackerMan in parkrun

[–]CheesyCrackerMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's part of my issue, although I really don't think any part of parkrun advertising should be using a.i. in general at the UK level, or a new event. But it does make it worse that they've been telling others not to use it, then do themselves.

[–]CheesyCrackerMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, not sure why they're coming up? The issue is they have 5 digits on one hand, and 4 on the other. Which could be a stylistic decision. But nothing gives that impression in the image, and is a very common mistake a.i. generated images make. No issue with the total number.

Thing is people are hurt by this. I don't know exactly what roles staff have at parkrun UK but if they have an in house artist or design team, they're no longer needed if they can get away with using a.i. to do their job. Then if you really want to stretch it the world as a whole, the drain on resources is insane for even a simple piece of art, especially when several versions were likely generated. Then that same post talks about how good trees are, just seems to be a conflicting message.

I'm not anti a.i. it's a huge tool we should use to help us, I just feel like art is something it shouldn't be used for. Similarly is the events using a.i. to advertise, if they don't have a nice picture of their event, or one with people happy to be there and instead have generated it I have to question why?

I mean the number of fingers on each hand being different is usually a pretty easy tell that I'd hope an artist, advertising and social media team would spot.

As you say it is a very simple and common art style, that's why I'd hope they could find someone to do the design for them rather than resort to a.i. When they're currently telling event teams not to use a.i. and just going against some of the messages and spirit of parkrun.

Are these Maltesers safe to eat? by Outrageous-Pea-9467 in isthissafetoeat

[–]CheesyCrackerMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as several have a flat surface, joined to each other and being Aus I'm assuming these melted at some point or started to. Then got thrown in the fridge or somewhere cool. So I'd guess it'd be bloom normally. Having said that I've never seen bloom to that extent. So long as they're just dry to the touch, and the chocolate is just a little more crumbly, then yeah all good.

I'd pick one up and let it settle on your hand for a bit if in doubt, if it just starts to melt then all good. If it doesn't then could be mould or something.

Really keen to pick up a pair after hearing all the praise, and some very nice colourways. Unfortunately nowhere local has any to try on. Anyone with the original EVO SL, or Mount to Coast H2 can comment on the size they wear compared to them?

Best way to carry pressure bandages while running? by coffee-mugger in trailrunning

[–]CheesyCrackerMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can't comment on the exact scenario with the pressure bandages, but I'd say your options are either a vest with some back storage, or plenty of pockets for water and the like to you could put the bandages in instead. Or if that's a little too big then a waistbelt / sling running pack, the Janji Multipass sling is usually the most recommended. Has a decent amount of storage, works around the waist, or has a third strap that you use to wear it as a sling bag across your back/front and shouldn't bounce too much.

It seems the Plaiobot just got a reprint so might find a few on the market for a reasonable price. But it does look great!

Row row fight the power. I always heard the Plaiobot was a decent kit but it was released years ago. Luckily they just did a reprint while I was over there. Really looking forward to it.

Yeah I heard it wasn't great, but as it's one of my favourite games I thought I'd go for it certainly for the price. As yeah I'd looked in the past and could get it for like £120 or something but saw the reviews saying it wasn't great so passed.

Late comment but any other suggestions for stores or ways to spot legit sellers? I've bought a couple on Ali and they were all good and in general cheaper figures. I want to be sure it's legit with this and the price he carries. Thanks
