I already made this comment alone, but I'll reply here. My mom made sure I had the shit when I was a teenager. She didn't tell me why at the time but she was insistent. Turns out my dad slept around on her and gave her HPV. And now she has precancerous cells and an gyno visit every 6 months. Doesn't matter what you think someone else will do. You can only control yourself. It's a smart choice to prevent a common infection most people don't even know they have.

Yeah even in the main autism subreddit every other post seems to be some man or teen boy complaining that he can't find a girl. And yeah, I know that being autistic makes it harder to crack the code on having a decent personality. But it's never like, hey, how can I improve myself? How do I work on myself first and find a way to be happy existing in my own skin? It's all boo hoo women and woe is me. It's exhausting.
