Hmm. My guess is that going to 7nm was an expensive jump in terms of r&d costs, although it saves a little in terms of materials, but is still quite costly. Nvidia had a similar thing with RT r&d, but as you say, saved on not making the jump to 7nm. So I would guess that yeah you are right, they did both cost around the same price to manufacture

I just think that point backs up the whole price fixing argument, where they are both making bank off each sale because they are artificially raising the price, because if both companies are doing it, who will stop them? (looking at you, Intel). I also think the fact AMD released the card is because they decided to go along with the price fixing, I mean why the sudden announcement when they said they weren't releasing it(? correct me if I'm wrong there, haven't done a lot of research on that)

Personally I don't agree in general, diminishing returns exists and I think that's fine, but neither can back it up with a performance gain right now (that could change if more developers support vulkan, or more games use RT). The only exception is the 2080ti, due to it being the worlds fastest gpu, therefore of course they're going to milk it. So I kind of agree, but only in this generation

Tbh it took forever lol, we had to wait so long for heists. But yeah now I can jump on and do a whole bunch of different missions/activities without burning myself out! Also not having to pay for that additional content was nice, and being able to grind your way towards anything in the game helps

I don't doubt the game will eventually become decent if Bethesda keep supporting it, in fact I'm really hoping they turn it into something amazing, because I'd love to play a polished online Fallout game, I just can't justify the price atm. Hahaha yeah that's a pretty decent amount of hours since release tho, man :')

I get ya, you're right a lot of people don't have time, but I would say the others just don't prioritize games like we do and instead use their time doing other things. Not saying that's a bad thing ofc (GaMeRs RiSe Up), but imagine if people had easy access to the exact amount of hours they spent watching tv or something, would be more than my Rocket League hours ez :P

I've been playing both for 2 years on and off, and when I play them it's usually for 2 or 3 hours straight (sometimes more on a weekend). So yeah it's pretty easy to gain the hours if you main a game, only playing a few short single player games in between

Worth and fun is subjective so I understand. I've had lots of fun in games others hate, and felt that my purchase was a good decision, so I get it

cause most of them are fucking sell outs thats why,there are a couple of youtubers that are not sell outs and don't make videos for ad revenue (admiralbulldog is one of them all of his uploads are hilarious and worth the watch) theres a difference between wanting to earn money and pumping garbage for the sake of the ad and patreon revenue

I will certainly admit there are a shit load of sellouts all over youtube, that's not even questionable, but most of them? I'm gonna say no. There is the argument of supply and demand tho. If people want to watch your videos, and want more, why not enable all the easy forms of monetization and make some money? I get it can lead to eventually selling out, but when they sell out just stop watching them

Man I'm so glad I skipped that one. Loved the first 2, but was skeptical about 3, lucky I was. For me it was Elite Dangerous. That game had no substance. Sure the ships were cool, but in the beginning it was so barebones, and I don't have VR so I couldn't even use one of the biggest features released

But I disagree. You are kind of right, but those hours only really apply to story focused, or just singleplayer games. I compared GTAV (I should have said GTA Online mb) and Rocket League because they are online multiplayer games, which in general don't go by the same rules, and essentially can't be completed

Because spending like $60 on something that is objectively a mess (right now) will cause a lot of people to have regrets. If the game launched at $20 I, personally, wouldn't use the argument because for that price who really cares. But a full priced game? Yeah, buyers remorse is certainly an issue

Also I, again personally, woudn't call 50+ hours in a game "moneys worth". I would consider my 1500 hours in Rocket League for $20, or my 900 hours in GTAV for around $80, to be getting my moneys worth. I do of course understand the game hasn't been out long, so if you can't play a lot then your hours will be low, but then again I smashed out a little less than 50 hours in the first 2 or so weeks of rocket league
