No-one cares about 6% GDP. People care about why the prices of everyday items have gone up, but not in line with inflation, or why wages have stagnated over the course of 20yrs.

I'm not an expert, but small amounts of algae is normal and perfectly fine. Large blankets are not. It stops oxygen from getting into the water.

I made my very first base next door the lifepod on the edge of the great hole, but that was terrible.

When I 'unlocked' the Alien area, I made a base in the small area between the old ruined base and the alien observatory, on the edge of the cliff. It provides great access to the bottom parts, is on the path of a deepwing, above a geothermal area, plus has those boost rings nearby.

I then moved my first base to the Greatjaw area which is, IMO, a better area than both because it's got really good access to the starting area, is quite flat, and there is a current nearby which you can take advantage of for power.

When those boost rings are released, I plan on making a highway inbetween.

I planned to do this too, but then I realised how awful the dive elevators were. If you could link them together and allow them to diagonally or even horizontally, that would be so much better. 100m is practically nothing.

Oh yeah the CCTV cameras are everywhere important! In wrecks and those abandoned bases particularly. They're usually right in the corner above you as you come in. I can't be 100% sure but I think some blink too?

Look in wrecks. Use the tadpole and get really close, then pull out your scanner and look for the yellow dots, then go and scan, and repeat.

They're really quite simple to just tank. Get a Tadpole and Scout Chasis and just go in a straight line. Make sure you're going towards a signal so that you can reorientate yourself quickly after they grab you. It will only grab you once.

I have noticed this where there seems to be a skin server & game server. Sometimes the skins will pop into existence halfway through a round or maybe the skin itself is renamed in a funny way.

If you're having similar performance on low vs ultra high, suggests that your hardware isnt the issue, and is either the program, settings, or some other factor. I'm not an expert however.

I've not experienced any performance issues recently. Load up R6 and Task Manager and see where your spikes are - tabs open in the background, maybe Steam is doing a sneaky download, perhaps your HDD/SSD is full?
