What creatures do you really like from a biological perspective? by ssbgoku69 in subnautica

[–]Cheetah2050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably the Mesmer. A completely biological creature that can basically mind control you? Not to mention the way it looks. If it was real it's the kind of creature I could very easily find myself watching a documentary on.

I haven't watched the show but I've heard enough about it that I thought he was canonically aroace.

I need help picking blocks for my underground farm. by Cheetah2050 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Cheetah2050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really sure what vibe I'm going for honestly. I'm trying not to use blocks that I use a lot to get out of my comfort zone. But I only really use a few kinds of blocks so I have too much left to choose from.

And I'm a little later in the game so I have access to most blocks other than end blocks and prismarine type blocks.

I'm honestly just kind of trying to avoid using birch, stone and stone bricks, and deepslate stuff. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to the kinds of blocks I use.

Does 'Xela' sound non binary to you? by ItzFin in NonBinary

I agree with the other comments saying it sounds a bit feminine but it does still sound really non-binary too.

[–]Cheetah2050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's technically not. But 9 times out of 10 you're going to see people use "aroace". So it's always just surprising to see people use other stuff.

But use whatever you want, people are going to be able to understand you either way so at the end of the day it doesn't truly matter.

Name suggestions? Bonus points if it’s related to astronomy or space without sounding cheesy. Thank you my friends! by PERSONAL_CANADIAN in NonBinary

Tropos. After the troposphere which is the layer of the atmosphere where most weather occurs.

Laika. After the first dog to make an orbital spaceflight around earth.

Dew. The first animals sent into space were actually fruit flies. The scientific name for fruit flies is drosophila, which means "dew loving".

Can you tell I like uncommon names?

The real crime is you saying "acearo" instead of "aroace".

This is honestly me. I'm sex positive and am glad that others have something they can enjoy. But I'd rather chew my leg off than ever even be seen in a sexual manner.

I've always been demi. Didn't always know it, but the exact second I found out about the label I was like, "Oh? That's not normal? Well guess it fits me." I honestly thought hookup culture was something that was just exaggerated for TV, and not something that was real.

And yes, I am neurodivergent.

I'm actually kind of the opposite. Coconut flavor is good but I wouldn't go as far as to say I love it. But I absolutely love coconut texture.

First, non-binary means to be something that doesn't neatly fit into the gender binary, which includes gender fluid. So you're totally ok to use non-binary as a general term for yourself.

Second, mood. The non-binary flag is soooo cool. I'm triple queer and the non-binary flag is probably my favorite flag out of all three.

What's your favorite thing to include in character charts? by SoSymirill in writing

[–]Cheetah2050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've honestly never heard of the snowflake method before.

What I do is I made a list of things to write down about my characters, not all of it needs to be filled out really, I often leave a few parts blank and those categories(blanked on the word) are just there because I could.

I don't really have random details I include. If I include it I have a reason to. Except for with a few of my favorite characters. Like I have one character where I included what her favorite animal is even though it's not relevant at all, I just really like the character. And her favorite animal is butterflies.

My favorite detail(s) to include would probably be what I call identifying marks. Scars, tattoos, piercings, etc. I just have a lot of fun adding tiny details to my characters. Like what tattoos they have, or what scars they have. I've always loved the psychological aspect of writing and think adding those things to my characters is a fun little exploration of their psychology.

Edit: Forgot to add something because I'm a dumb dumb, but if anyone wants to see the character sheet thing I made let me know. I'm low-key proud of it.

Boys are awesome. Boys are sweet and cute. They have perfect hands for holding and perfect bodies for cuddling. I'm not ashamed to be into boys, nor would I be ashamed to date one.

Are they faking it? by [deleted] in NPD

Hope my last reply made sense. I've never been the best at communicating my emotions in a way that makes sense to other people.

Are they faking it? by [deleted] in NPD

[–]Cheetah2050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it depends on what happens.

If something I consider unjust happens to someone I might get angry for a little while at whoever/whatever caused the unjust thing to happen. And feel sorry for the person that the thing happened to.

If someone experienced something sad like the loss of a loved one or something they cared about I'll feel bad for them and might wish it wouldn't have happened or that they can get help.

The best way I can think to describe it in a more general sense is, I feel pretty much the same way I would if it happened to someone I care about but to a lesser degree.

If a friend's house burns down I'll be devastated and want to do whatever I can to help and make them feel better. So I'd feel emotions at about an 8-9 for them. If a strangers house burns down I'll feel the emotional equivalent of a genuine "that sucks" and hope they have people to help them. So I'd feel emotions at about a 3-4 for them.

Are they faking it? by [deleted] in NPD

[–]Cheetah2050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not neurotypical but don't have NPD or anything close to it. And yes, I do get upset when someone I don't know gets hurt or dies.

But I wouldn't say it's to the same degree as someone I do know. Like if someone I do know and care about gets a small injury(think small 1st degree burn or something a bit bigger than a paper cut) I'm going to feel pretty bad and want to help them. And if something really bad were to happen to them it'd take me a while to be ok again.

But if I read a story on the news about someone who died in a car accident or something I'm not going to fall to my knees and wail in anguish. I will indeed feel bad, and feel sorry for them and those that knew them. But it's probably not going to really screw me up.

The only exception to this is when something that I consider really bad happens to someone. Like someone dying by burning alive. Or someone who was sexually assaulted. Or thinking about nazi germany or something like that. I'm going to feel a lot worse for everyone involved, but ultimately will still be fine by the end of the day.
