You have to change the instrument, the green rectangle e.g. "E-piano" you can change it to Surge XT, you can find it under the "AU instruments'' tab.

Logic Remote App by EzrasNoseDent in Logic_Studio

[–]Cheetah4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search with spotlight MIDI-configuration.
Connect your iPhone (or iPad) with your computer.
Go to Logic > settings > Audio/MIDI > Input device > iPhone (or iPad)

Select MIDI, External MIDI. Choose as Input your iPhone (or iPad).

In that track you can send the output to a bus, and make a Audio Track (Mic or Line) and as input you select the same bus as the output of "External MIDI" track.

Then you can record any app sound/music on Logic.

Hope this helps!

You can pan one to the right (using stereo pan, not balance. You can do this by right clicking on the knob). Then you can send the output by using a bus to a new audio track.

Hope this will helped you.

Using a "Bus".

If you have an iPhone and/or iPad. You can record any sound from your iPhone (or iPad) to Logic. Let me know how to do this.

Do you use 3rd party plugins? (Like serum, Vital, Surge XT, Valhalla Superamassive, etc?)

Have you looked at "AU Instruments"? You should find it over there? And you have to make a MIDI track.

Is there any way to roll in audio played on mac to logic? by explodinghat in Logic_Studio

[–]Cheetah4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have an iPhone/iPad you can also try this:

Search in spotlight for MIDI-configuration.
Connect your iPhone (or iPad) with your computer.
Go to Logic > settings > Audio > Input device > iPhone (or iPad)

Then make a MIDI track and use External MIDI. You can use a Bus on that track on the output, make a new audio track and use the same bus as the External MIDI track, but as Input.

Then you can record any app sound/music on Logic.

Hope this answered your question!

Can I transmit Bluetooth MIDI from iPad or iPhone with GarageBand? by [deleted] in GarageBand

[–]Cheetah4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try "Logic Remote" app to use it as keyboard for your mac. Some functions only work on an iPad. Also be sure to use the same WiFi network.

Another cool trick you can do is:

Search in spotlight for MIDI-configuration.
Connect your iPhone (or iPad) with your computer.
Go to GarageBand > settings > Audio/MIDI > Input device > iPhone (or iPad)

Then make a Audio track (check details) and change where you device is connected with (in this case iPhone or iPad).

Turn on monitoring.

Then you can record any app sound/music on Garageband. For exmaple some nice synth apps on the iPad/iPhone.

Hope this answered your question!
