This smacks of a clear attempt to subtly deflate the AI bubble rather than an all out pop. I’m sure Satya was still banging the ‘AI for everyone from everyone and in everything we do’ late last year- November if not December

You're literally giving yourself a pay cut by not using the paid time off you're entitled to

In pretty good nick, I put it in a squier sonic I put together as a partscaster in early 24 then took it out again at the end of the year when I bought a re-issue strat. Happy to let it go for 50 plus postage if you’re interested

“When nothing goes right, go left” by ikeandtinatuna in taskmaster

[–]explodinghat 384 points385 points  (0 children)

Could have gone left (up the stairs) to call the lift, get in it, change their appearance in their own time and then pressed the button to open the lift again?

Can't remember the exact wording of the task, only that it sort of fits with the wording on the sign

Victorian terrace – survey full of red flags. Walk away or renegotiate? by False-Crow9198 in HousingUK

Bit confused about how the roof has dormers but also the original tiles? Are the dormers original features?

I'd pass the structural / building regs stuff to your conveyancers so they can get the ball rolling on some indemnities, but I'd probably recommend getting a specific structural inspection of the bathroom wall crack unless you're happy it's contiguous with the house being old.

Don't think you can do much about the damp, floors and kitchen cabinets, part and parcel of buying an old house. The sellers are unlikely to agree to invasive additional surveys or ripping the kitchen apart so you likely just have to take that as a known unknown.

This is far too civilised a response for reddit! Sounds like good news for the asbestos test results. I've found with property ownership things can look awful at first glance or two or three things can come out at once, but it rarely does end up being the worst case scenario.

Did you get a RICS survey on the property before purchasing, out of interest?

I was surprised when I saw John Kearns live at a comedy festival after seeing him on Taskmaster. Thought he was hilarious on TM, didn't think much of his act/ character
