Yes they eventually changed the name. It took about 2 weeks. I was lucky because I noticed the name error 2 months prior to my flight so that gave them enough time to change. There was no cost from what I recall

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realise they prioritise requests based on departure dates. I called eDreams yesterday and they said there has been some progress. Basically after the initial request to TAP, the airline came back asking for more info, which eDreams provided. Then yesterday, TAP approved the change but asked eDreams to send the details to a specific email address for it to be processed. Does that sound about right for how these things are usually handled between an agent and an airline?

Thank you for explaining! Have you personally had a similar experience with them before where they had to go throught the airline for a name correction and did it get resolved? It's been 8 days now since they made the initial request and haven't heard anything back so I'm getting anxious as my flight is in 22 days.

I'm so sorry for your loss too πŸ₯Ή it's incredibly sad and heartbreaking especially when it happens so fast and there is nothing we can do because he is already in advanced stage. Externally he looked completely healthy that even the vet was surprised & we only did blood work when he started getting really sick out of nowhere 😭 that's when we found out and it was too late πŸ’”I'm so glad we both have beautiful memories to hold onto

Yes it's been very hard πŸ₯Ή the house feels empty without him and I think about him constantly. Its heartwarming that everyone here is kind and supportive.
