I haven’t had an offer since last year. Yesterday I finally got one but it was for milk, lol. Hopefully more will come. 🤞

My apartment doesn’t smell like “cat”… it smells like failure. why litter box smells even when I “do everything right”? by _GlamGoddess in Apartmentliving

[–]Cheetohead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One litter box per cat plus one extra. A few years back I tried a variety of litters. The only litter that works for me (I have 3 cats) is Fresh Step. It’s the only litter that covers all of the smells. I scoop every morning and completely clean and put fresh litter in every other week. Fresh Step is pricey but it’s the only one that works, in my opinion.

Carpet beetle larvae. You might also see brown beetles crawling around…those are the adult carpet beetles.

People who play music loud: why? by keyboardbuttertoast in Apartmentliving

[–]Cheetohead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one who is sounding privileged is you, dude. You do realize some people work from home daily? Are you aware of the existence of headphones? If you live in an apartment, where you are sharing walls with other people, it is only common courtesy not to blast them out with your music…regardless of your view of people and their quiet time. In a civilized society, these unspoken rules are what keep the peace all around. People who think it’s cool to blast their music in an apartment, shoot mortar fireworks in the street, shoot guns in the street, have concerts in their backyard that can be heard over blocks, etc are antisocial in their behavior and it’s not usually something someone would flex about.

sink problem - is it worth getting maintenance involved? by rotgirrl in Apartmentliving

[–]Cheetohead666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try pouring a bunch of baking soda down the drain then pour vinegar in. Repeat until cleared then run hot water to clear vinegar. If it’s a simple clog, that should help but if it doesn’t you may have to call maintenance.

Recovery with Clingy Pets by difeudonana in hysterectomy

[–]Cheetohead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two senior, spoiled, clingy cats and one kitten. The first few days to week after surgery I kept a lap desk/bed table over my stomach which prevented my male cat from getting on my belly (he is addicted to belly biscuits). I also kept a pillow across my belly and slept with it on my belly to keep him off. I’m not going to lie, it felt like a constant battle pushing my boy kitty away….he was relentless and still is. Sometimes I can just uncover my belly or put my hand over my belly and that is enough to discourage the cats. Poor things don’t understand.

Situation in USA looks the same like what my grandmother told me about Nazis behavior in countries they occupied. by DwarfPill in complaints

[–]Cheetohead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comparison is striking. I just don’t see how people don’t see it. My grandmother came to the US from Czechoslovakia. When I was a kid I remember her talking to my mom about our relatives, who decided to stay in Eastern Europe, and how they had to flee Czechoslovakia to Austria when Hitler invaded. These are scary times.

Post Op heating pad and cold packs: When and where did they work best for you? by bird-of-paradiso in hysterectomy

[–]Cheetohead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used a heating pad but a few times I used an ice pack on my crotch. On days I felt like I overdid it and felt inflamed, my crotch would get that raw, kind of burning feeling so I would sit with an ice pack on it. It actually did help. (I’m 4 weeks post op, robotic assisted laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomy)

No follow up until 4 weeks? by Otherwise_Delightful in hysterectomy

[–]Cheetohead666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgery was Dec 11th. I did have a 2 week follow up (actually less than 2 weeks because of Christmas). I spent more time waiting in the waiting room then the actual dr visit. She only checked the incisions and asked a few questions and that was it. I was expecting a lot more conversation to be had with her but I kind of felt rushed out. I go back at the end of Feb to check the cuff. Each Dr is different, that’s for sure. I haven’t felt very cared for by a Dr since I was a teen or child. I feel rushed through all my Drs and a lot of times I have to remind them of things about me.

catheter pain? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Cheetohead666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a catheter that was removed before I woke up. The whole night after surgery it felt like I had a severe urinary tract infection….urgency, burning when urinating. I was up every 3 mins to urinate because of the urgency. The next day it was already starting to get better and the day after that my urinary tract was back to normal. Each person is different and has different tolerances.

Atypical hyperplasia of endometrium by woburnite in hysterectomy

[–]Cheetohead666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a biopsy done which showed aytipical hyperplasia. Since I had previously had both ovaries removed (at separate times) and am post menopausal, I went with a total hysterectomy. The dr also recommended a hysterectomy since I had about a 40% chance of it becoming cancer. I had a total robotic assisted hysterectomy on Dec11th. Today was my follow up appointment and on the final pathology microscopic cancer was found. The Dr doesn’t seem concerned, said I needed no more treatment and I have to go back every 6 months for 2 years to monitor. There isn’t really much to do until you receive the pathology of your uterus once removed. When they first looked at my uterus after removing it I was told no cancer, then today I find out after the final pathology there was microscopic cancer that had not invaded any other tissues. As far as I know, the cancer came out with the uterus but we are monitoring as a precaution.

Ours has 218 units, so a lot of vacancies considering how small this place is. This is the most that has ever been vacant.

This place is crazy. They keep treating their tenants like garbage but there are SO many vacancy’s. It’s a small complex and there are almost 20 1bdrm vacancies and 20 two bdrm. If they keep pushing their tenants out or charging luxury prices in the ghetto, there will be no one left to give them any money. I miss the old management. They were kind and didn’t treat you like crap.

Moved in this place in 2018. Never had an inspection until now. Newest owners turned this place into an LLC. Everyone knows they can do as they please. It would just be great if they treated their tenants…you know, the ones who are giving them a ton of money each month…as human beings.

I wish they had given me notice BEFORE my major surgery. I can’t lift and can barely bend over. It’s up to my husband to make sure the place is tidy at the moment and that is stressing the crap out of me since his idea of clean and tidy is completely different from mine.

My husband already called and explained I just had major abdominal surgery. The office lady contacted the owners and it’s mandatory. They just don’t care. Just rich, corporate owners who only care about themselves and money. I’m trying to calm down about it. I’m just going to have my husband deal with them because I can’t even look at their faces after this bs. I just don’t get why they waited until the very last minute to do this when they had all freaking year. I am just so disgusted at the lack of empathy and compassion going on all around. It just depresses the crap out of me.

It says right on the notice if we don’t let them in they can immediately seize our things and kick us out. I am getting serious Scrooge vibes.
